Basically, Massimo (Michele Morrone) becomes obsessed with Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) after seeing her on the beach on the same day that his father was killed by a rival gang. Massimo himself was injured in the attack, and Laura's face was the last thing he remembers seeing before losing consciousness.
At his villa, Massimo reveals to Laura that she was the woman at the beach five years ago and that when he was injured, all he could think about was her.
Did Massimo actually cheat on Laura? No, Massimo's hitherto-unmentioned identical twin brother Adriano is the one at the party, as 365 Days: This Day's twist ending reveals, thus clearing Massimo's good name.
In the books, Massimo is an absolute villain and much worse than the character in the films. Laura eventually ends up divorcing him. It's revealed that Laura ended up with Nacho after escaping another abusive situation that ends up with Massimo drugging her and trying to get her pregnant.
He is just bad. All there is to say about Laura is that she's a victim. The idea that she 'fell in love' after having Massimo's junk repeatedly shoved in her face at every turn while he manhandles and manipulates her is likely triggering for some viewers.

Who did Massimo end up with?
When Laura discovers Massimo is the one who killed her dog, it is not long before she seduces him, escapes, and runs off with Nacho. Surprisingly, Massimo then assents to divorce, meaning Laura and Nacho end up living happily ever after and the unhinged mob boss simply accepts that his former paramour is gone for good.

The book ends with Laura choosing to be with Nacho, but that is after Massimo holds her against her will, drugs her and tries to get her pregnant. It's not really a surprise she escaped with Nacho in that scenario. The epilogue shows they have a daughter together, while Massimo has given up and agreed to a divorce.
It's Nacho, of course! He tells her that he really has fallen for her and makes his case for why she should choose him. Eventually, she arrives back home where Olga is nervously waiting, still trying to talk her out of speaking to Massimo.
Of course, she says Nacho is a good person, and pleads Laura gives him a chance to explain himself. Laura does, and if you hadn't already guessed it, this interaction ends in a sex scene. Nacho confesses his love for Laura but says he wants her to make her own decisions to be happy.

After a meeting between the Torricelli Sicilian Mafia crime family and black market dealers, Massimo Torricelli watches a beautiful woman named Laura Biel on a beach. Suddenly, the dealers shoot Massimo and his father; Massimo survives while his father dies from his injuries.
In the end, Laura runs away with Nacho and becomes pregnant with his child. With disturbing twist after twist, Kolejne 365 dni subverts the notion that 365 Dni series is a love story at all (because it's not). While Massimo is framed as a romantic lead, his behavior in Kolejne 365 dni is a reminder of his rotten core.
The arrival of Massimo's long-lost twin brother, Adriano, in "365 Days: This Day" creates problems for Laura and Massimo. Born 10 minutes after Massimo, Adriano — who is also played by Morrone — feels as though the mafia empire was robbed from him, as he is not the heir.
Personality. Despite appearing as a cold, threatening man, Massimo is actually sweet, caring, and a hardworking father who happens to hunt sea monsters as a passion, as he is concerned about his daughter repeating the race due to her getting humiliated and sad last year.
