Morbius is a Vampire, the son of Vlad Dracul II, and brother of Vlad Dracula III himself. Morbius heroically struggles against his baser instincts. He met Spider-Man in a misunderstanding, centering around a cabal of vampires attacking Ben Urich.

This overwhelmingly negative reception reflects the critical consensus of 272 reviews. Most of the criticism comes from the film's lack of structure and coherent script. Morbius, which already missed its perfect release date, moves at a rushed pace while compromising its timeline, characterization, and logic.

The C+ score is the second-worst of any Marvel adaptation, ahead of only Fantastic Four (2015). Reviewing the film for Collider, Emma Kiely felt that the "central problem of Morbius is a lazy and uninspiring script" and added that "no weight or depth is given to any character."
The storylines depicted in Morbius are closely aligned with the character's original Marvel Comics narrative. With post-credit scenes hinting at more, no Morbius 2 updates have said a sequel won't be added to the upcoming Marvel movie slate — despite Morbius' negative reviews.

As a living vampire, Morbius suffers from an insatiable thirst for blood that has forced him into conflicts with many heroes, usually Spider-Man.
Morbius is also immune to traditional vampire weaknesses, such as magic, crucifixes, silver and stakes through the chest. In fact, Morbius is virtually immortal. He also can't convert others into traditional vampires.
During their confrontation, Morbius bit Blade, who soon realized that his blood enzymes were not enough to protect him from his foe's unique form of vampirism. Though allegedly a daywalker since birth, Blade now transformed fully into the thing he hated most, manifesting vampiric fangs and a bloodthirst.
The vampiric nature of Morbius' cure has granted him super strength meaning Blade would have a bit of trouble simply pinning him down or doing huge damage with just a single attack.
Morbius, the Living Vampire, can go into the sun and walk in daylight, albeit with less power. He also does not have any of the usual weaknesses of vampires, such as aversions to religious iconographies or vulnerabilities to stakes through the heart.
In reality, it was neither. The story was... well, just fine — neither excellent nor atrocious. Its pacing had some issues, and the end left a lot to be desired, cutting to black in a pivotal moment that saw Morbius flying away from his fight with Milo while his partner, Martine Bancroft, resurrected as a vampire.
It's certainly not as bad as critics think it is. It's not a perfect movie but it's not the worst either. I did think that the film had weird and confusing camera work. The storyline and villain were also very predictable; however, they were still interesting.
Morbius is an interesting choice of a character to add to the MCU or Sony Spider-Man Universe, especially to have a stand-alone movie. Unlike Venom, which has more recognition in general audience. This is not a bad movie. Mediocre at its best.
If he's still wearing the venom symbiote, he's even more powerful and resilient. I don't think this is a long fight. Spider-Man is stronger and faster. Mobius flight is beaten by Spider-Man's webbing again and again.
The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, a guide to all things Marvel Comics, notes that Morbius can lift up to 1,500 pounds, while Spider-Man is able to "press lift many tons." Seeing as a ton equals 2,000 pounds, it's clear the Handbook considers Spider-Man several times stronger than Morbius.
