As he dies, he is symbolically linked to a white dove, an image of peace and deliverance. At the end of his life, Batty takes on the dove's symbolic qualities. Knowing his time is running out, Roy abandons a desire to get even with Priss's killer, Deckard.
In a change from the film's source novel, Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, Roy isn't killed by Deckard but instead takes his own life after his iconic "tears in rain" speech (which, fun fact, was partially improvised by Hauer).
As Roy is questioning his morality and mortality, Tyrell is blinded by his own ambitions. It's fitting that Roy kills Tyrell by gouging his eyes out, literally blinding him.
K then used the situation to fake Deckard's death, saying he drowned. Afterwards, he took Deckard to Stelline Laboratories, urging him to meet his daughter. As Deckard went into the lab, the severely injured K laid down on the steps outside and succumbed to his wounds.

What happens to Roy at the end?
There were theories about this character faking his own death, probably because it was hard to digest that such a powerful figure could simply die. However, Logan Roy stayed dead until the very end of the series. In fact, Connor bought his house from Marcia, and Lukas Matsson finally acquired Waystar Royco.
Much like the original, Blade Runner 2049 became a cult hit but failed to thrive financially due to pacing issues, murky stakes and zero fun factor. Ridley Scott followed up the tremendous success of his science fiction horror film Alien with his cyber-noir thriller Blade Runner.
Because of this memory, K became convinced that he was Rachael and Deckard's child, but was eventually informed by Freysa that he was not and that the child was female. With this revelation, K soon determined that Stelline was the child. K took Deckard to Stelline's lab as she interacted with a snowfall hologram.
The theatrical cut of Blade Runner plays out similarly to the more well-known cuts up to Roy Batty's death. However, the original ending is altered significantly, with Rick Deckard and Rachel running away from Los Angeles while Rachel somehow survives her expiration date.
What does the origami unicorn mean in Blade Runner?
From a symbolic standpoint, the unicorn most probably describes Deckard's subconscious mind, in which he yearns for unbridled freedom like the majestic creature, which, however, is akin to a myth in the blatantly capitalistic and autocratic world of Blade Runner.

Desperate for time, he finds a metal spike and stabs himself in order to regain feeling and prolong his life for a few moments longer. His impaled hand and the blood on his head is a foreshadowing of the religious significance this final scene will have. Batty finally corners Deckard on the roof.
The monologue is near the conclusion of Blade Runner, in which detective Rick Deckard (played by Harrison Ford) has been ordered to track down and kill Roy Batty, a rogue artificial "replicant".
As the leader of the group of renegade replicants with several human lives killed in the name of his cause, there's no question that Rutger Hauer's bleach-blond 'bot is the main antagonist of Blade Runner.
Deckard's eyes glow briefly in one scene, which was used in the film to subtly suggest his replicant identity. However, Ford denies this was an intentional effect and he may have caught some of the light intended to fall on Sean Young's eyes.
However, he later learns that, even if the memory is real, it was not his own but Dr Ana Stelline's. Through her work, Dr Stelline shared her memory with K, and this allowed him to understand what it was like to walk in her shoes, but most importantly, to believe himself a free, loved replicant.
Ana Stelline (Carla Juri), who is Deckard and Rachael's daughter but has no idea of this and now works as the world's best memory fabricator. We don't know if she planted that memory in only K's brain or in the brains of hundreds of replicants, hoping one of them would follow this message in a bottle. Maybe others did.
In the final moments of the film, K collapses in the snow and dies from his wounds sustained in battle, but not before fulfilling his mission and revealing to Deckard the truth about his own past. The film ends with Deckard reuniting with his long-lost daughter, Ana Stelline, in a poignant and emotional scene.
“Blade Runner 2049” is one of the most important movies of this century as it explores significant themes in modern society, particularly loneliness. The main character's journey in the movie allows us to delve into the forces that shape our current world, and ultimately come to a deeper understanding of these issues.
The story continues from the original, but stands completely on it's own, it tells a new story that directly interlink with the original, but without trying to be a copy, it's a natural continuation in the same universe. You don't have to see the original Blade Runner first, though i do recommend it, see the final cut.
At the end of the movie, Roy Batty goes from being an apparently haywire maniac to being a Christ-figure. He pushes a symbolic nail through one of his hands before sparing Rick Deckard's life, and then he dies due to his expired time limit.
The second film further develops Rachael's origin, and gives significantly more details about her radical design. It revealed that she was an experimental model of replicant with a high percentage of human organs, including human reproductive organs, and that Rachael conceived a child with Deckard.
In a 2023 interview, Ford stated that he "always knew" that Deckard was a replicant, but wanted to "push back against it", adding that a replicant (or at least, Deckard) would want to believe that they are human. Ridley Scott stated in several interviews that he considers Deckard to be a replicant.
