Profanity here is more graphic than the gore. References to other movies. Parents need to know that while there's less extreme bloodshed here than in the other Scream features, stabbings and throat-slittings are still abundant, matched with (sometimes exceeded by) the swearing.
The good news is SCREAM 3 has slightly less blood and not as many gruesome deaths as the previous movies. Sex and nudity are also gone. The third in the series is watchable and entertaining -- if you can take the blood, swearing and cynicism -- but shows signs of stretching characters and gimmicks a little too far. When you've been Screaming over three movies, it's not surprising that the voice starts to get hoarse.

The Scream series became a popular series with critics and audience due to the fact it was a self-aware slasher film that knew the clichés of the genres whilst still working as a slasher film. But the third film of the series is considered the weak link of the franchise.
Things do start quite promising with two good separate kills before the opening credits but sadly most of the fight/kill scenes that follow are just laughable, same thing can be said for the plot, ambitious but equally ridiculous. At 123 minutes this was too long for what is a poor slasher flick.

The beginning of the movie is pretty graphic Casey gets stabbed like 4 times then her parents find her gutted and hung from a tree. The killer slits Kenny's throat (Gale's cameraman), blood is shown running down his throat.
