They start a fight which ends when Thomas strangles Janson to death. However, Teresa also dies from falling debris to save Thomas's life. Fleeing the building, the Immunes escape through the Flat Trans that leads to a lush paradise.
The subsequent explosion in The Death Cure's ending results in the building caving in, eventually killing Teresa. What makes her death memorable is that she still manages to save Thomas and even hand him the serum that contains his own blood (the titular “Death Cure”).
The only named people that I can find that reached the haven or whatever, the paradise at the end of the death cure, is Brenda, Jorge, Gally, Minho, Frypan, and presumingly Sonya unless she died fighting the WICKED people at the end.

Along with being the prequel to The Maze Runner series, this is the story of two teens who have survived the sun flares that killed over 4 billion people and now must learn how to let go of the past and the bad memories that constantly plague their minds.
The Kill Order is a 2012 young adult dystopian science fiction novel written by American author James Dashner and published on August 14, 2012, by Delacorte Press. It is the first prequel book in The Maze Runner series and the fourth installment overall.

In Maze Runner 4, the story could provide clarity about whether Teresa went into the Maze voluntarily and the purpose of her presence.
But as we get to see, there never is a cure, meaning there can only be death. At the same time, when we get to the end, the cure for the Flare seems to be—to let everyone who has it die off while those who are immune get to start over in paradise. So in that way, death really is the cure for the Flare.
It is eventually revealed that Thomas' blood contains a unique enzyme that can destroy the Flare virus [2]. In "The Death Cure" film, Teresa, one of the main characters, uses a small fragment of Thomas' blood and observes under a microscope that it snaps a dark-red vein with the virus in it, effectively killing it [2].
The disease eats away the minds of the afflicted until they turn into Cranks, zombie-like creatures that roam cities killing people until they're killed themselves. Fortunately for Thomas, he and most of his friends are Munies — immune to the Flare. That's why they've been put through the Maze and the Scorch trials.
If Newt drew blood by biting Thomas, he may have been healed by his blood (assuming we're talking about the movies). However, he would have had to draw an extreme amount of blood to be saved, and gotten it into his (Newt's) blood stream. Thomas would not be affected, most likely.
It just needed to happen, in her mind. No biggie. In book 2, she couldn't stand the thought of Thomas feeling betrayed without warning, so she tries really hard to warn him. And then basically kills their friendship to save his life.

Disease Immunity: Teresa Agnes was shown to be immune to the deadly Flare virus and its effects. In Death Cure, when Ava Paige announced that the virus was airborne in the city dozens of the people wore mouth masks to be unable to breathe it, except for Teresa due to her immune gene keeping her unaffected.
