After Ever Happy is the worst of the After movies because it doesn't take the formula the movies have established and give the audience anything new. However, the film's heartbreaking ending still has some impact given that there are four films worth of history between them.
What happens to Tessa and Hardin After Ever Happy?
If you've read the After books, you'll know how After Ever Happy actually ends. After breaking up, and then getting back together, the rest of Tessa and Hardin's life is played out in various time jumps, ending with them sending their two kids off to school. She befriended her coworker, Sophia and briefly dated a man named Robert. After much effort, Tessa finally got accepted into New York University. She reunites with Hardin at Landon's wedding and they renew their relationship.
After dinner, Hardin admits to Tessa that he wants her more than he has ever wanted another person or thing in his whole life. Tessa realizes this is an admission of his genuine feelings for her, and she kisses him. Hardin performs oral sex on Tessa, and then they return to the dining room.

Did Tessa lose her virginity to Hardin?
Hardin made a bet with his edgy friends to take Tessa's virginity, which he succeeded in taking. He even saved the bloody sheets from when they did it to show his friends, which is disturbing. In the movie, the dare is taken down several notches, with it instead being for Hardin to make Tessa fall in love with him.
This becomes a recurring issue in their relationship, with Hardin unable to control his jealousy whenever Tessa interacts with another man, convinced they all have ulterior motives and want to sleep with her, even his stepbrother Landon.
Paired with a horrific wig on Tessa.. I was really looking forward to this movie and was severely disappointed. The Don't Worry Darling trailer that ayed before the movie got me more excited in it's 3 minutes than this movie did in 90 minutes.
He then hugs and kisses Tessa, who is pregnant with their second child. This is a happy surprise because Tessa learns in After Ever Happy that she has cervical insufficiency, which makes it almost impossible for her to get pregnant or carry a fetus to term.
Does Hardin sleep with Natalie in After Everything?
We learn that years prior, Hardin recorded him and Natalie sleeping together and the video got out, ruining Natalie's life. So, he wants to make amends and show her that he is a changed person. They catch up, she shows him the city and ultimately, she forgives him after seeing how different he is now.
After Everything came out in theatres in the US on the 13th and 14th September 2023 but is now available to watch internationally on Prime Video and VOD.
The direct sequel to After Ever Happy (2022) and the fifth installment the After film series, it stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin reprising their roles as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively. The film was released in select theaters in the United States on September 13, 2023, by Voltage Pictures.
The final movie in the franchise focuses on Hardin, which goes some way to explain why Tessa wasn't in After Everything much. After Everything was the first movie on the franchise not to be based on one of author Anna Todd's books, meaning there was more creative freedom to focus on other characters.
In August 2022, it was announced that production had commenced on a secret sequel to After Ever Happy. Despite having not much revealed, it was stated that principal photography had recently wrapped and that the official title is After Everything.
Why does Hardin break up with Tessa in After Ever Happy?
Tessa forgives him for his initial lies in the first film, but their relationship is never smooth sailing from then on, and when she finds out that Hardin published a book about their relationship and her trauma without asking her, it appears to be the last straw in their relationship.
It's revealed in the final book, After Ever Happy, that Hardin was sexually abused and coerced into a relationship at 14 or 15 with his mother's neighborhood friend.

We get along,” Tiffin told Entertainment Tonight of himself and Langford in October 2020. “The set is super professional, and I think cast, crew, production and everyone from the start has made it like that.”
They continue to kiss and, eventually, have sex. Hardin then tells Tessa that she is the only one for him and that he loves her, to which she returns to the sentiment.
Together Steph and Dan drug Tessa and try to film Dan having sex with Tessa to get back at both Hardin and Tessa. Soon before the rape could begin, Molly barges in and tells Steph she has gone too far. With that, Tristan and Zed stop the potential rape.
With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she's used to. But he's also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room.
Like many other fanfics, the After franchise has long been criticized for promoting toxic relationships in a misguided attempt at representing insatiable desire. The feeling of wanting what is inaccessible is what draws readers in, but that quickly fades if the couple actually succeeds at being together.
Molly at first shows disdain towards Tessa for stealing away Hardin's gaze and attention. In the end, she realizes that Hardin might be falling for her beyond their dare. In a form of retaliation, she show's Tessa the video of him making the bet to make her fall in love.
