The film was about one man's journey from suicidal depression to finding the will to live. It was about Ottway finding the urge to fight for his life, and stay in the fight. Through an unlikely experience with strangers stranded in the wilderness with him and a pack of wolves, Ottway found his way back.

Ottway appears resigned to his fate in the moments before he realizes he's stumbled into the wolves' den in The Grey ending. The irony that the one place he spends the film trying to avoid is where he ends up isn't lost on Ottway. The den represents death, and now he must face it head-on.
Ottway survives along with John Diaz, Jerome Talget, Pete Henrick, Todd Flannery, Jackson Burke and Dwayne Hernandez and they set up in the plane wreckage. Hernandez is killed in the night by the wolves.
Brilliant, twits & turns with scope for another series. Recommend the watch. Great plot & each episode was as good as the last episode. The characters were brought in, easy to follow the characters.
The post credit scene had me torn. I'm glad they made that scene and yet I wanted to see THE ending we thought we would see. Your mind can't create the image of a spoiler because that's what happens.
