Whether Disney was actually planning Aladdin 4 before the untimely death of Robin Willaims or not, Willaims made it clear in his will that he didn't want his voice clips from the original Aladdin to be used in any media for the next 25 years after his death.
The original Aladdin story was actually set in China. Aladdin is one of the stories compiled in The Thousand and One Nights — a collection of Middle Eastern and Indian folk tales, however, it did not appear in the original Arabic text.

On Oct. 15, Disney Plus introduced a new disclaimer that appears before older films like Dumbo (1941) and Aladdin (1992), warning viewers that the films include harmful stereotypes. The new message replaces the one that came with the original launch of Disney Plus late last year.
Did Jasmine become Sultan in the original Aladdin?

Storyline wise it's just a short reprise of the main film really, and it truly is short, even for an animated move. The worst aspect is, of course, the lack of Robin Williams portraying the Genie, Dan Castellaneta does his best, but he's only ever a poor imitation of the original performance.

She asks her father again for his consent, and he grants it! Aladdin and Jasmine can now be married, and live happily ever after ("A Whole New World – Reprise"). There is much rejoicing in Agrabah as the curtain falls ("Friend Like Me – Reprise").
At only 15 years of age, Jasmine is already more resourceful than her two immediate predecessors, while sharing their same preference for assertiveness and empowerment over passiveness, traits echoed by several other Disney Princesses introduced throughout the decade.
