Cortland gained immortality when Rowan gave birth to Baby Lasher in the finale, but she got the last laugh, turning her evil bio dad into stone and ditching him in the woods.
An evil spirit called Lasher has haunted the Mayfair family for generations, seducing the witches and using their powers for his own sinister motives. While not much about Lasher is really changed from book to show, Spalding revealed that they came to cast Huston because he had a certain rock 'n roll je ne sais quoi.
Who is the father of Rowan's baby in Mayfair Witches?
Rowan initially rejects her offspring/lover, but ultimately protects him from Cortland (Harry Hamlin), who was revealed to be her father through rape; and Cip, who planned to take the baby to his bosses at the nefarious Talamasca agency –– at least that's what he told them.

One theory as to why Lasher wants the 13th witch is that she is, in fact, his daughter. While Lasher has not revealed his true nature, he has behaved in ways that are associated with demons and could be one of the Devil's many forms in the Anne Rice series.
Lasher seeks to reproduce his race in other women, but they cannot withstand it. Rowan escapes and becomes comatose as her fully-grown Taltos daughter is born. The Mayfairs declare all-out war on Lasher and try to nurse Rowan back to heatlth.
What follows is a gruesome story filled with murder, incest, and betrayal. There are, however, many gaps which can only be filled in by Lasher himself. Rowan and Michael marry despite all this, and Rowan takes on the responsibilities of the Designee of the Mayfair Legacy.
Thora Birch guest stars as Gifford Mayfair, a self-deprecating tarot card reader and wannabe-bohemian who lately spends a lot of time at her lake house. Season 2 of “Mayfair Witches” is currently in production in New Orleans and will debut later in 2024.
But no matter what Ciprien and the Talamasca or Carlotta and her Christianity may think about it, Lasher insists he is wholly devoted to Rowan and her desires.
