Grindelwald was willing to pervert the nature of life and death to achieve his goals and ultimately wouldn't stop until he was forced to stop by another, like Dumbledore. As a result, even if he didn't want another war, he wasn't afraid of Muggles coming for wizards so much as a war hindering his larger plans.
Over the years, Grindelwald raised an army and began a reign of terror that spread through several European countries, though he never attempted to take power in Britain for his fear of his former friend, Dumbledore, who was "a shade more skilful" than he was.
With his friend Albus, Grindelwald planned to bring the wizarding world out of hiding, bringing Muggles under wizarding control and guidance "for the greater good".
Grindelwald and those who subscribed to his ideology, felt they hid behind their duty of upholding Wizarding law as an excuse to maintain their mandatory and forcibly imposed totalitarian regime. Aurors did this while justifying the squashing of any individual or group that the ruling class felt threatened by.
Aberforth is the younger brother of Albus Dumbledore and owner of The Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade. He clearly has quite a lot of resentment towards his brother, as well as Grindelwald, which is mainly due to the death of his and Albus' little sister, Ariana.
During that summer, Dumbledore had neglected both his brother and his sister and Aberforth soon let him know about it. Aberforth was set to return to Hogwarts and was fed up with Dumbledore's plotting with Grindelwald – in addition to being concerned about Ariana's care.
It was only during the confrontation in Grindelwald's cell that Voldemort learned Albus Dumbledore had claimed the wand in a duel decades back. Grindelwald baffled Voldemort when he showed no fear during the interrogation, taunting Voldemort and laughing at his desire for the wand.
The Malfoy family, known for despising Muggles and Muggle-borns, actually gained property and wealth through interactions with Muggle royals. Draco Malfoy, influenced by his prejudiced father, eventually grows out of his family's pure-blood mania, which was ingrained in the Malfoys' ethos.

Over time, he managed to amass a following that would serve as advisors and enforcers of his cause.

Aberforth's son is Aurelius Dumbledore, born after he fell in love with a girl in Godric's Hollow. However, the girl was sent away, either before or after Aurelius's birth. His son was adopted by Mary Lou Barebone and renamed Credence Barebone. Despite the rumors, Aberforth never confided in Albus about his son.
Although Aberforth was a brother of Albus, he did not study the art of magic as much as Albus did. He cared more for the Dumbledore family than Albus did and abandoned his studies to help them out. He was powerful, but not quite as powerful as Albus.
Dumbledore never broke the Elder Wand because he knew it would have to be used to kill Voldemort. Remember how Harry's wand acted of it's own accord against Voldemort even when Voldemort was using Lucius' wand, a wand that was not the brother of Harry's?
Voldemort fled the prison right away to retrieve the wand from Dumbledore's tomb, and it seemed Grindelwald was still alive when he left. This was the only time they ever met since Voldemort died at the Battle of Hogwarts shortly afterward. Why the scene was changed can likely be chalked up to expediency in cinema.
Grindelwald's Origin: What Wizarding School He Went To & Why He Was Expelled. Gellert Grindelwald did not attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, like so many in the world of Harry Potter did. Rather, the villain of the Fantastic Beasts franchise went to Durmstrang Institute.
Aurelius was an illegitimate child of Aberforth's. His mother is killed, and as a result Aberforth is unable to care for his son. Credence is taken to America and put up for adoption, a fact known to no one but Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz).
Fantastic Beasts 3 reveals that Credence is Aberforth Dumbledore's illegitimate son. Since Grindelwald was telling Credence the truth about his name being Aurelius Dumbledore, it seemed logical that he's one of Albus Dumbledore's siblings.
Aberforth met Credence's mother the same summer that Albus and Grindelwald met. Now, while living as part of Grindelwald's followers, Credence began to write messages to Aberforth through a mirror because he was desperate to come home – though to begin with, he didn't know he was writing to his father.
