Sean Brody is the son of Martin Brody. He appears in the novel and was the only one to appear in the movie. He was killed when his arm is bitten off and is soon dragged under water to his death by Vengeance the shark in Jaws: The Revenge.
In the 30th anniversary DVD edition of the film, all the movie remains the same except for Brody's final encounter with the shark. His famous line is cut, thus, only letting him says, "Smile, you son of a..." before he fires the gun.

For Megalodon to have existed 2.6 million years since the last known fossil tooth, there would need to be a sustainable population. Based on its size (you can see how this is done on my Kaiju post) we would expect global numbers, if we assume the largest Megalodon females get is 65.5 tons, of near ~700,000-1.5 million.
Megalalodon grew to around 20 meters long and weighed around 100 metric tons. That's a lot of fish! However Titanic was 166 meters long and the hull was made from rolled steel from 2.5cm to 3.5cm thick.
