Nausicaans stabbed Jean-Luc Picard in the heart. In Star Trek: The Next Generation season 2, episode 17, "Samaritan Snare," Captain Picard told Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) the story of how Nausicaans stabbed him in the heart when he was a young officer.
