Ramone (voiced by Cheech Marin in the films and video games, Milton James in Cars 3: Driven to Win) is a 1959 Chevrolet Impala coupé lowrider who owns Ramone's House of Body Art, where he paints himself and other cars, including Lightning McQueen.
Ramone is a 1951 Impala low-rider who loves riding “low and slow.” He runs Ramone's House of Body Art, the local custom body and paint shop. A true artist, but without many customers to paint, Ramone changes his own paint job every day.
Chick is a 1979 Shyster Cremlin, a fictional car based on and designed after a 1986 Buick Regal in NASCAR form. Chick is painted green, with the number 86 painted on his doors, and has yellow rims. He also has a grille, which serves as a mustache.
While McQueen is not modeled directly after a specific make and model, the artists mixed and matched elements of the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and Corvette C1.
Cruz Ramirez (voiced by Cristela Alonzo) is Lightning's trainer and technician at the Rust-eze Racing Center. She resembles a Jaguar F-Type and Chevrolet Corvette (C7). Cruz is known for training some of the best rookie race cars through her unconventional training methods.
Strip is based on a 1970 Plymouth Superbird with a 426 cubic inch hemi (about seven liters) engine, the same model Richard Petty drove. The Superbird was a heavily modified version of the Plymouth Road Runner, specifically designed for stock car racing. Its radical design was later banned by NASCAR.
His name is a possible reference to actor Carl Weathers. Cal's number, 42, could be a reference to 1942, the year Lynda Petty, Kyle Petty's mother and voice of Cal's aunt Lynda Weathers, was born.
Doc Hudson is based on the real-life Fabulous Hudson Hornet in NASCAR competition, with Hudson's racing career most closely resembling that of Herb Thomas, the record holder for the highest career win rate (55 of 228 races, or 21.05%), and the first-ever two-time champion.
Flo is simply based on a Motorama Show Girl, modeled after a 1957 GM Motorama Show Car. She is a modified 1955 Lincoln Futura with large tail fins. Her license plate reads "SHO GRL", a reference to the fact that she was a show girl before she came to Radiator Springs.
Johnny was one of the few conservatives in the punk rock community and was a staunch supporter of the Republican Party. He made his political affiliation known to the world in 2002 when the Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Fillmore is a 1960 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus, to support the fact that he is an older car. Fillmore is painted light green, with Peace, Groovy, and Love painted on either sides of his doors, as well as various swirl and flower designs.
Disney and Pixar's Cars may have hit theaters in the summer of 2006, but production of the film started many years earlier, with production designer Bob Pauley first sketching the film's female protagonist, Sally Carrera, in 2002. As her surname suggests, Sally is an anthropomorphic Porsche 911 Carrera.

DJ is a Reko-do Spinner, a model that closely resembles a 2004 Scion xB, also known as a Toyota bB in Japan. He has a large tuner spoiler and built in subwoofers and speakers. He is painted completely blue, with green lining on his doors. He also has volume indicators in his rims, as shown when he drives.
Who is he: Strip Weathers, aka The King, is a 1970 Superbird who has, you guessed it, won more series races than any other car in history. His paint scheme is the Dinoco Blue (which looks amazingly like Petty Blue) and he wears No. 43.
Holley is a 2008 MT-R Mark II which is based on and a reference to the 2005 TVR Tuscan S Mk2 with elements from the 2008 Ronn Motor Scorpion, the 2010 Jaguar C-X75, and the 2008 Diatto OttoVu Zagato.
Unable to keep up with Storm and the other next gen racers, Therefore on the advice of his uncle, Cal eventually decides to retire. McQueen approaches Cal before his departure in hopes of convincing him to keep racing, but Cal persists on retiring, and reminisces on the good times they had together.
His design was inspired by Tim Flock's 1955 NASCAR race car. His racing number, 300, is a reference to his car model, 1955 Chrysler C-300. Although he is supposed to be a 1955 Chrysler C-300, he was seen alongside Doc Hudson, whose racing career supposedly ended in 1954.
The Hudson Hornet is a full-size car manufactured by Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan from 1951 until 1954, when Nash-Kelvinator and Hudson merged to form American Motors Corporation (AMC). Hudson automobiles continued to be marketed under the Hudson brand name through the 1957 model year.
