Deathstroke was later revealed to be doing freelance work for the League of Assassins. Working for Talia Al Ghul, Slade controlled the body and physical actions of the current Robin, Damian Wayne in order to kill Wilson's old foe, Dick Grayson, who had taken up the mantle of Batman.
When Damian was killed by The Heretic, Batman went to absurd lengths trying to revive him. This included trying to force Jason into reliving his trauma so Batman could figure out how he came back to life. Batman also hunted down and dissected Frankenstein, wanting to learn how he functioned and what kept him alive.
Previous storylines have played with the possibility that Deathstroke was Damian's real father -- and although that was later revealed to not be the truth, it set up an interesting position for the villain to occupy in contrast to the Dark Knight as a possible mentor to Damian.
Batman has trained many young heroes as Robin, and while they have all been impressive on their own, DC just confirmed that one stands above the others in terms of power: Damian Wayne is the most powerful Robin.

Why does Damian Wayne wear a hood?
He wears a hood, which separates him from the others before him. He carries an utility belt which includes Batarangs and Wingdings, smoke pellets, tear gas, and the rest of the standard Bat-clan standard issue gadgetry.
Damian observed the training of the League of Shadows with his grandfather Ra's al Ghul. They were attacked by Deathstroke, who was attempting a takeover. Ra's was killed but Damian managed to take Slade's eye as revenge.

It was thought that the first time Slade encountered Robin was alongside the Teen Titans and that the basis for animosity towards the crime fighter came from that team. Originally, Slade's son, Grant Wilson, took a contract on the Titans but died before he could fulfill it.
The revelation that Terra was not just willingly working with Deathstroke, but sleeping with him, remains one of the darkest plot turns in a mainline DC comic. Terra was sixteen years old at the time of the storyline while Deathstroke was middle-aged, making him far more insidious than he would later be portrayed.
For many, the belief as to why his eye never heals is because his healing factor is limited. While he can recover from gunshot wounds and lacerations in his organs, it doesn't seem as though he has the ability to regenerate like Deadpool or Wolverine.
After taking Joseph to the hospital, Adeline was enraged at his endangerment of her son and tried to kill Slade by shooting him, but only managed to destroy his right eye.
Slade forced Robin to join him, with the threat that if he did not, Slade would use nanobots he planted in the Titans to destroy them from the inside out, therefore killing them. Robin eventually defeated Slade with his friends' help.
But readers would be surprised to learn that there's one Robin he does respect. In Teen Titans Annual #2, Deathstroke reveals that his favorite Robin is none other than Damian Wayne. Deathstroke actually has more reason to hate Damian than most other Robins.
Damian Wayne is one of the most combat-proficient Robins due to his training from the League of Assassins. Unlike his father, Batman, Damian Wayne is prepared to be lethal. Whenever Damian faces Deathstroke head-to-head, he typically comes out on top.
Weaknesses. Arrogance: More often than not, Damian believes himself to be better than he is, this has allowed him to underestimate opponents as well as irritate his allies.
Though he sometimes struggles with his past and the legacy of his mother and grandfather, Damian now wants nothing more than to be a hero to the people of Gotham, just like his father.
This happens shortly after Damian's resurrection, but there's a good explanation for it. The returning Damian is shown to have superpowers, making him as strong as Superman.
Robin ends up fighting him throughout the episode and getting physically abused in the process. He's so obsessed with it that the other Titans strap him down to keep him from seeking Slade out again. Robin's mental torment exhibits signs of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
