Spider helps find Jake, but finds Quaritch unconscious and is initially hesitant to save him, however, begrudgingly rescues him, bringing him up to the surface and leaving him on nearby rocks, where he regains consciousness. Quaritch begs his boy to go with him, however, he rejects this and leaves, much to his dismay.
Avatar: The Way of Water revealed that Spider longs for a family, although Jake Sully and Neytiri adopted him. This leads to his decision to help Quaritch and keep him alive at the end of the sequel, despite knowing the ramifications of his actions.
Spider is played by Jack Champion. Not only is he a child of the humans who stayed on Pandora after the initial eviction of the RDA at the end of Avatar, but he's Quaritch's son. Spider grew up around the Na'vi, spending time with Norm and Max in the labs and bonding with Jake and Neytiri's kids.
Yet, in the time he spent with his father, Spider saw whatever good was left in Quaritch. When Quaritch surrendered against Neytiri, Spider saw signs that his father's clone might just be redeemable. Hence, he took the call to save Recom-Quaritch.

Did Spider have a crush on Kiri?
Spider thus exists in a nebulous space when it comes to his identity. He's the offspring of the worst of mankind and wishes to resist his background, yet he cannot completely participate in the culture he admires and, in the case of his crush on Kiri, adores.
While Spider didn't actively do anything to specifically make Neytiri hate him before the sequel movie, saving Quaritch's life at the end of Avatar: The Way of Water certainly justified some of her distrust.
Unless that theory is true, Grace was impregnated by someone. Kiri's brothers joke that the scientist Norm could be her father. The movie does not reveal much information about the birth of Kiri. It is unclear whether Kiri was conceived before Grace died and her avatar carried her to term.
Paz Socorro is Spider's mom after a romantic relationship with Quaritch led to her getting pregnant. She gave birth to Spider, whose birth name is Miles (just like his father), in 2154. However, Paz Socorro died shortly after that in combat during Avatar's finale.
Most of them escape, save for Spider, and it's revealed that Spider's dad in Avatar is none other than the villain Quaritch. Quaritch and Spider suffer a complex dynamic throughout the film, with Spider ultimately saving his life in the end.
Spider was shown to have grown a strong bond with Kiri, with many speculating that there could be a potential future romance between the pair, while his tumultuous relationship with Neytiri came to a dramatic head in the final moments of The Way of Water's climactic battle.
Her father is not a father, her father is another mother, Eywa, the Great Mother, the sentient life force of Pandora itself that exists in all things there, but is rarely understood. So essentially yes, Kiri was born from Eywa just like Anakin Skywalker was allegedly conceived by the Force itself and its midichlorians.
Having been raised by the Omatikaya clan as well as the few humans who stayed on Pandora after the events of the first Avatar film, Spider is Na'vi in everything but his physical form.
In order to get Kiri back, Neytiri held Spider hostage and slightly cut him across the chest as a threat to Quaritch. For a moment she even seemed willing to fatally stab him. Despite surviving with just a scratch, Spider was visibly shocked after this.
Shortly after the events of the Avatar, Jake has the Na'vi give his human body a traditional burial and moves the Omaticaya Clan near Hell's Gate to be close to the human allies who were allowed to stay on Pandora.
Augustine's colleague Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) was the father and Grace conceived Kiri before the end of Avatar before somehow giving birth in her Avatar body. However, the more interesting theory is that Kiri is literally the child of Eywa due to some sort of immaculate conception.
Lo'ak is old enough in Pandora to be a warrior and seems to be about 13 or 14 years old in Avatar: The Way of the Water given the time gap between Avatar and its sequel. It also appears that Neteyam and Lo'ak are close in age, so being a young 14-year-old would make sense.
Their parents hated each other and were on opposite sides of the war for Pandora. In spite of this, Kiri and Spider grew up together and are devoted to each other.

Kiri is the inquisitive and intelligent adopted daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Not long after Grace Augustine's death, her dormant avatar was discovered to be pregnant, and Jake and Neytiri adopted the child when she was born.
It was revealed that Spider's mother was Paz Socorro, a Scorpion pilot for the RDA who flew with Quaritch's team to attack the Na'vi back in Avatar. She and Quaritch shared a romance that got her pregnant. She chose to name her son Miles after his father.
That being said, an avatar body using Spider's DNA would need to be created, and it takes around 5-6 years for one to be fully grown. It's possible that the human scientists such as Norm and Max who stayed on the world of Pandora and helped raise Spider might have created an avatar for Spider off-screen.
Neytiri is devastated by the carnage that the RDA had caused, sobbing openly as Jake leads her to safety as the Tree of Voices was destroyed by the RDA.
