The village came under attack by Separatist battle droids at some point during the Clone Wars, with Djarin and his family caught in the crossfire. While the droids slaughtered the people of the village, his mother and father hid him under a hatch before being killed in an explosion themselves shortly after.
Djarin's parents were killed after hiding their son, who was found by a B2-series super battle droid. However, Djarin was saved by a Mandalorian warrior, who took him in as a foundling. Djarin later adopted his own foundling, Din Grogu, as his son.

Is Din Djarin's clan Death Watch?
He grew up on Concordia. Djarin subsequently became part of Death Watch. By the time following the Great Purge of Mandalore, he was part of the Tribe, which operated on the planet Nevarro, and acquired Mandalorian armor. Unknown to Djarin, the Tribe followed the orthodox ways of the Children of the Watch.
Summary. Din Djarin won't be getting a romantic storyline anytime soon, according to Din Djarin actor Brendan Wayne. Wayne pushed for a romance between Bo-Katan and Din Djarin, but the show's creators weren't on board. Katee Sackhoff is 42 years old currently, but the assumption has been Bo-Katan is closer to her sister Satine's age. The rifle was aboard the Razor Crest on Tython while Djarin took Grogu to an ancient stone temple of the Jedi. During a subsequent encounter with Moff Gideon's remnant Imperial forces, Gideon shot Djarin's ship with an orbital laser blast from his light cruiser, destroying the ship and the rifle.
Grogu's mother is either Yaddle or some other female member of Yoda's species, but he has no father. Because just like Anakin, Grogu was born off the Will of the Force, with no dad, and that explains why he's so powerful at an age that's considered an infant for Yoda's species.

The wonderful feeling of hearing “Din Grogu” for the first time was only matched by the disorienting realization he's not “Grogu Djarin” now. That's what we would have assumed he'd be called.
Mando love is pretty open, and marriage between clans can be used to form strong alliegances. Your clan doesn't like it, you can just leave or start another war (the perfect honeymoon, right?)
Alongside Darksaber creator Tarre Vizsla and Sabine Wren, Din Djarin could become another Mandalorian Jedi, even though this would be redundant and make Star Wars feel like a universe where every important character can wield the Force.
Audiences have shipped Din Djarin with various characters, including Bo-Katan Kryze, Luke Skywalker, and Cobb Vanth. Katee Sackhoff, who portrays Bo-Katan, doesn't see romantic potential between Din Djarin and Bo-Katan, but their loyalty and deep connection could inspire a true romantic love storyline.
