After Galadriel, the Lady of Lórien, departs for Valinor, it's said her husband, Celeborn, settles in Rivendell for a time. Eventually, Rivendell ends up abandoned. Before Aragorn dies, he tells Arwen, his wife and Elrond's daughter, that “none now walk” in the garden of Elrond, meaning no one remains in Rivendell.
Elrond departed the valley of Rivendell in TA 3021, marking the end of the Third Age. Afterward, Rivendell was for a time the dwelling place of his sons Elladan and Elrohir and also of Celeborn. It is untold when the valley was finally abandoned.

They were later joined by Celeborn, who left East Lórien within a few years of Galadriel's departure with Elrond's party. Why was Rivendell never attacked?
Once Elrond established Rivendell in the Second Age year 1697, the realm was immediately put to use as a safe haven and remained as such for many years to come.
Elrond remained in Rivendell until the destruction of the One Ring and of Sauron, after which he went to Minas Tirith to surrender the Sceptre of Annúminas to King Elessar and give his daughter Arwen Undómiel away to be married.
The oldest elf in LoTR is Círdan the Shipwright, the oldest Elf still remaining in Middle-Earth, who appears at the end of Return of the King to sail to Valinor.
The fact that she was an elf means that there is no way that she could be dying for no reason normally. Elrond is telling Aragorn that because she has chosen him, she is now slowly dying the death of any mortal, as they live and grow older.
Put simply, the Elves can't return to Valinor in The Rings of Power because their work in Middle-earth is unfinished. There is far more context to the situation in Tolkien's writing, but The Rings of Power skipped The Silmarillion's complexities regarding Elves and the War of Wrath.

When he was just two years old, his father was killed by Orcs and his mother sent him to live among the Elves in Rivendell. He was raised by Elrond, the half-Elf Lord of Rivendell, and renamed Estel. it's more reasonable to think that legolas from lotr shared the same name as a 1st age noldorin elf than to assume that he's older than elrond. The Glorfindel who died in battle with a balrog at the fall of Gondolin is the same one who, like Gandalf, was returned to a living body because of his bravery and strength.
Lying to the high king should be a bad idea, but Galadriel sought vengeance. With that in mind, withholding the truth worked to her advantage. If she had outed Sauron, the Elves would have needed to leave Middle-earth, and Sauron would have won. So, in this case, lying was her best option.
