In Logan, we see Wolverine's last breath and a funeral. So if there are going to be more Wolverine films, they will almost certainly focus on Laura. At the end, we see her wandering off with her fellow young mutants to a sanctuary.
Iron Man's recent research confirmed that Logan is actually Laura's biological father, rather than just being a female clone of Logan. After Logan's death, Laura officially adopts his codename of 'Wolverine' to honor his memory.
She comforted Logan as he died, then buried him. As a final testament to him, she removed the cross marking his grave and turned it on its side, creating an "X", to honor Logan as the last of X-Men, and left with her friends to cross the border.

Logan and Laura finally made their way to Eden in North Dakota right near the Canadian border. The Eden was run by Rictor and was a safe meeting place for the children who had escaped Alkali-Transigen.
Fortunately for Laura, Eden turns out to be a real place—and a way station for the kids to meet before trekking a few miles through the woods and across the Canadian border to safety. We never quite find out just what was across that border, though.
