In other words, if Luke had left his weapons behind, he would have learned the truth on his own terms. He would have met his father as an apparition and defined his life's course of a Jedi. Unfortunately, none of that happened, and Luke ended up leaving Dagobah in a frenzy to save his friends.
By bringing weapons into the Dagobah Cave, Luke already failed the test. Even Yoda explicitly said he will not need weapons. Following Palpatine's final defeat and her own resurrection, Rey adopts the name Rey Skywalker to honor her mentors and their family legacy and renounce her lineage.
Inside, two lightsabers have been laid to rest. One was Kenobi's during his time as a Jedi Master; the other belonged to his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, before his fall to the dark side.
