He is the first student, former adoptive son, and archenemy of Master Shifu, who acknowledged him of being the Dragon Warrior and eventually became evil when Master Oogway refused to give him the position, witnessing Shifu, not protesting against his denial; feeling abandoned and unworthy.
Years prior to the original movie, Shifu thought for a time that the Dragon Warrior would be Tai Lung due to being a kung-fu prodigy, but Oogway refused him the title because he saw the true darkness in Tai Lung's heart, causing the snow leopard to go on a rampage.
Kai would win. Not only is he bigger and stronger, but he is more skilled than Tai lung, physically and spiritually. Master Oogway was the most powerful kung fu master who has ever lived in the Kung fu Panda universe. Not only in physical might but in spiritual might as well.
In a battle between Tai Lung and Kai, it is generally believed that Kai would emerge victorious. Here's why: Size and Strength: Kai is depicted as being bigger and stronger than Tai Lung [1]. His physical prowess gives him an advantage in combat, allowing him to overpower his opponents.
In short, Po beat Tai Lung not by being the superior fighter, but by being his perfect counter. Shifu lost because he was conflicted, and the Five were caught off guard by the nerve attacks they had never come across before.
After a failed attempt to stop a gang of weasels from stealing the WuGao Gauntlet goes bad, Po's reputation is destroyed and he is stripped of his status as Dragon Master.
Kung Fu Panda 3 confirmed that the Wuxi fingerhold sends people to the Spirit Realm. This revelation directly applies to Tai Lung's fate since this is the exact move Po used to defeat him. As a result, Tai Lung is not back from the dead per se in Kung Fu Panda 4. He is rather pulled from the Spirit Realm temporarily.
Po utilizes the Wuxi Finger Hold on him, obliterating Tai Lung. Tai Lung's defeat marks Po as a Kung fu warrior. In Kung Fu Panda 3, it's explained that the Finger Hold instantly sends its victim to the Spirit Realm, indicating that Tai Lung now resides there.
It was shown that Tai Lung had survived his battle with Po. To enact his plan for revenge, he gathered multiple clans and gangs, including the Wu Sisters, to capture enough villagers so that their energy can power his new weapon, which would give him super strength.
Lord Shen. Po's main opponent in Kung Fu Panda 2, this dastardly, short-tempered peacock is bent on conquering all of China and wiping out all the nation's pandas. He also commands a wolf army and devises a cannon to put an end to kung fu.
But once Po and Zhen successfully defeat the Chameleon and restore his Kung Fu, Tai Lung finally sees the panda as worthy of Oogway's choice as the Dragon Warrior and respectfully bows before him, something he has never before been able to do because of his own past selfishness.
In a twist of fate, Kung Fu Panda 4 brings back a formidable adversary: Tai Lung. The iconic villain, thought to have met his end in the original film, is unexpectedly making a return. In a surprising turn of events, Kung Fu Panda 4 welcomes back a formidable foe: Tai Lung.
Tigress' skills have been relatively uneven since she's been defeated by the likes of Shen and Kai but has always bested Po. That mainly comes down to Po not really wanting to hurt Tigress, but it's also clear she's a cut above the rest based on pure skill.

Boomstick: His large army of jombies meant he could've overpowered Death, and Death didn't quite have enough experience to match Kai's 500 years of fighting in the spirit realm. Wiz: If it was up to those 2 factors, Kai could have won.
After a brief moment of fighting, Tai Lung managed to overpower Tigress and kick her through dozens of boards before entangling her in the ropes and strangling her.
