Frozen tells the story of Anna and Elsa (2 princess sisters). Elsa possesses magical ice powers and while the 2 are close at birth they grow isolated when Elsa accidentally hurts Anna. Years later, Elsa's powers become exposed when she freezes the kingdom and she leaves Arendelle.
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen", the film depicts a princess who sets off on a journey alongside an iceman, his reindeer, and a snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped their kingdom in eternal winter.
These are the main messages from Frozen: People can make bad choices if they're scared or stressed. Love means putting someone else's needs before your own. People who are different or have unique talents should not be hidden away, or be afraid of showing their talents.
Perhaps the most obvious message in Frozen is that it's good to be courageous. Elsa fleeing her home to live on her own was bold; Anna following her was even more so. Having a feisty streak can be a very good thing!

Was Elsa originally evil in Frozen?
Elsa from Frozen was originally intended to be an evil queen with an army of snow monsters. That's according to the animated film's producer Peter Del Vecho, who says they completely re-wrote the ending. "When we started off, Anna and Elsa were not sisters," he told EW. "They weren't even royal.
Elsa explains that she and Anna now serve as the bridge between the people and the magical spirits, where the bridge has two ends: Anna on the people's side and Elsa on the magical spirits' side. Elsa abdicates the throne of Arendelle to Anna and becomes the protector of the Enchanted Forest.
In the first movie, Elsa's lesson is clear: love is stronger than fear, and the key to controlling her powers is letting people in. But Anna's lesson is far less clear. The only obvious lesson she learns is “you can't marry someone you just met” (which she learns in the cruelest and most contrived way possible).
In the film, Olaf represents the happiness Elsa and Anna shared as young children. His desire to experience summer is symbolic of how Elsa wants to return to the old days of her childhood with her sister as her best friend.
Climactic Moment: When she sees Elsa about to be killed by Hans, Anna forgoes her true love's kiss from Kristoff and sacrifices her life to save her sister. Resolution: Anna's sacrifice, her “act of true love” for Elsa, thaws the ice in her heart, and she returns to life.
What sets Elsa apart from the mass array of Disney princesses is her inner battle with mental illness, anxiety and depression. In Frozen II, Elsa is the only person who can hear a voice but everyone couldn't.
As in many Disney movies, the parents die, here leaving orphaned princesses who must find a way to survive. There are a few other violent scenes that involve men with weapons, snarling wolves, a scary snow monster, a severe storm, and a character who nearly freezes to death.
In the first Frozen movie, Elsa's age was 21, while Anna was 18. Considering Frozen revolved around Elsa's coronation, it's refreshing to see that Arendelle waited until she was a more appropriate age to receive the queen title. Frozen II occurred after a 3-year time jump, with Elsa now 24 and Anna 21.
Although Elsa's disability is encoded as a magical ice power, the language the film uses to talk about her condition maps on to the experiences of people with physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities in recognizable ways.
“Frozen” does have a happy ending. Anna's block of the sword is the act of true love that saves her from the curse. She thaws shortly after my newfound favorite princess movie scene concludes and everything wraps up rather neatly.
The result of this research shows that Count Olaf has a personality disorder called antisocial personality disorder. Antisocial personality disorder is also known as psychopathy, sociopathy, or dyssocial personality.
Elsa fears she will not be accepted by her sister or her town. This feeling worsens as her parents pass away. Now with no one having knowledge of her powers the pressure increases for her to stay hidden. As she becomes required to attend her coronation, she begins overthinking how she will keep her powers hidden.
While they're in there, Anna and Elsa also discover another twist: They're half-Northuldran. Their mother, it turns out, was a tribe member who saved their father during the battle, escaped with him out of the forest, and later married him.
These strong female characters certainly have their weaknesses; they wouldn't be very interesting characters if they didn't. Elsa can be distant to the people she loves, she has trouble accepting help, and she fails to recognize her own limitations.
Her backstory changed often, but the most common one was that she was a mischievous rebel as a child, who was ostracized due to her behavior and powers. Her hatred of humanity would come to a head when she was left at the alter, causing her to run away and create a kingdom of ice with an army of snowmen.
The implication, and it's only ever just that, is that Elsa and Anna's mother is herself somehow attuned to the magical forces such that Elsa was given the gift of superpowers. (Why Anna never received such powers is equally vaguely defined: just as Elsa and Anna's father had no powers, so too would she be power-free.
Olaf the snowman is known for his comedic love of summer, his childlike innocence, and ever-cheerful demeanor. However, he was originally conceived as one of the evil Elsa's snowman guards, with an attitude befitting an evil minion.
