Venom is a villain in Marvel's Spiderman. He also known as his host Eddie Brock. He hates Spiderman because he thinks he is the cause of all the bad luck in his life. Venom is bigger and stronger then Spiderman.
When Peter Parker published his correct version of the story, Brock was discredited and fired, and never forgave Peter. When the symbiote bonded with Eddie, their shared hatred of Peter Parker and Spider-Man gave rise to Venom!
I don't read comics, but from what I gathered from others that do, Symbiotes are highly impressionable on their hosts; Eddie Brock had a deep hatred for Peter Parker, and Venom was Rejected by Peter Parker. Both were joined by a single purpose that manifested into monster obsessed with beating Spider-Man.
They were once mortal foes, but their rivalry is far more delicate than most due to Eddie's dual nature. In a sense, Spider-Man embodies Venom's conscience, and represents an ideal that he wants to follow but could not admit it for most of their history. He hated him and was envious, yet in a sense, also admired him.
Why is the Venom symbiote obsessed with Spider-Man?
Most folks are familiar with the fact that the symbiote who would come to be known as Venom first bonded with Peter Parker. It got a taste of the power of Spider-Man and grew to love that power. It grew to love the feeling of the wind on its face swinging through the city. It loved the force behind every punch.

Is Venom evil or good?
Since his debut however, Venom has evolved into an antiheroic figure, slowly distancing himself from his initial goal to ruin Spider-Man's life to try and do good instead, even putting aside his differences with and helping Spider-Man at times.
Venom came to empathize with Eddie's status as a "loser", eventually deciding to turn on its own kind and save the Earth from being invaded. The symbiote ultimately agreed to work alongside Eddie as a vigilante, to only hurt bad people despite its own confusion of how it can tell the difference of who is good or bad.
By eating Carnage, Venom is effectively returning his spawn back to his former "unborn" state within Venom's mass, not taking anything he didn't already have into his cells.
Venom sees Holland's Spider-Man on TV, licking the screen and remarking that "He looks delicious." The implication was clearly that the Symbiote wanted to go after Spider-Man.
With every symbiote, the ability to spawn a new puts the former in danger, as there is a possibility of the spawn is normally more powerful than the former. Knowing this, if venom were to spawn again, carnage would be rendered useless against the newer spawn, whether it be his or venom's.
Venom's symbiote has explained on many occasions that the Klyntar planet is practically devoid of emotions, yet over time he knows that he forms genuine love for Eddie. Venom bonds more with Eddie and experiences guilt, jealousy, and sadness over his other half.
Intense Heat: Aside from the intense noise that causes Venom to go crazy, he can also be injured through exposure to intense heat, such as from lasers, fire, etc.
Carnage is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as an adversary of Spider-Man and the archenemy of his father Venom, in particular the Eddie Brock incarnation of the character, although Carnage and Venom have joined forces when their goals have aligned.
Venom requires brains and chocolate to survive. Marvel's comics explain that Venom has a biological need for the two substances. In the comics, brains and chocolate are prime sources for phenethylamine, a compound that positively affects mood and that Venom needs to live.
The other Celestials then banished Knull, along with the severed Celestial head, deeper into space. After that, he started using the head's cosmic energies as a forge for the symbiotes, which is how they developed the weaknesses to sound and fire.
The movie doesn't clearly state why, but Venom is probably afraid of Carnage because Carnage doesn't have the moral restrictions that Venom does. They are alien symbiotes. This means they need another living host to bond with if they're going to survive long-term.
For example: When the symbiotes take over a human body, the body convulses, twists and contorts in a visually disturbing and very scary way. When the symbiotes are in their alien form, they are terrifying, huge and monster-like creatures with glowing eyes and jagged sharp teeth.
Todd MacFarlane wanted Venom to be massive, or at least much larger than Spider-Man. This was achieved with Eddie Brock Jr. also possessing a hulking physique, and thus the correlation was made that the symbiote also became a brute with Eddie as its host.
It could be that in the universe of the Venom movies, this type of strong bond is already known among the symbiotes to result in stronger specimens. This could explain why Venom is so fearful of facing an enemy with a ruddy hue.
Personality. Carnage is a sentient being of pure evil, shown by how moments after the symbiote was born it wreaked havoc in Prison during its escape. Carnage also has a deep hatred for its father, Venom, wanting to kill him so that he could be the only symbiote on the planet and thus unstoppable.
Venom, now the new god of symbiotes and King in Black, telepathically sentenced Carnage to execution and had the symbiotes attack him. Knocked into the ocean, Carnage was subsequently devoured by countless symbiote-controlled sharks.
In a flashback, it is revealed that she got pregnant with Eddie's child after bonding to Venom. After giving birth to their son Dylan, she left him in the care of Carl Brock, with the promise that she would return eventually. She instead committed suicide, after which Carl raised Dylan.
The Marvel Universe can be a hard place to grow up—especially for kids like Dylan Brock, the son of Eddie Brock. Even though he didn't know his dad for the first half of his life, Dylan endured the horror and chaos of Eddie's adventures as Venom before he reached high school.
As you may recall from the first Venom movie, the symbiote was unable to bond with numerous people and left each of its test hosts dead. It wasn't until Venom formed a special bond with Eddie that both the host and symbiote were able to survive.
