Star Trek: The Next Generation's USS Enterprise-D was famously destroyed in the feature film Star Trek Generations - and the rationale for trashing the beloved starship was simply because it was something the producers wanted to see on the big screen.
The Enterprise-D met its end in the TNG crew's first film, Star Trek Generations, when it was critically damaged by the villainous Klingons the Duras sisters.
The Enterprise-D met an untimely demise in Star Trek Generations when Klingons Lursa and B'Etor found a way to penetrate the Enterprise's shields, stunning the ship's crew and inflicting serious damage before the Enterprise was able to destroy the Klingon vessel.
The USS Enterprise-D was officially restored and took her place in the Fleet Museum. After the battle at Jupiter, the Enterprise was returned to the Fleet Museum and her restoration continued (along with repairs).

Ultimately though, Star Trek: Picard season 3 brought the story of the USS Enterprise-D to a satisfying close, and it should only be brought out of storage again if the universe is truly in trouble.

Worf was Married to Jadzia Dax and (spoiler) at her death in DS9 became a widower. He did have a fling with Deanna Troi through 2370, which was the result of Worf seeing himself Married to Counselor Troi in an alternate reality which led him to actually pursue Deanna romantically which was welcomed by her.
Duras, notified of K'Ehleyr's access to the records, confronts her and mortally wounds her. Worf and Alexander discover K'Ehleyr in time for her to reveal that Duras attacked her; before she dies, she has Worf promise to look after Alexander.
Later in the series, she becomes involved with the Klingon character Worf, and they marry during the sixth season of the show. In the sixth-season finale Jadzia dies but the Dax symbiote survives, and in the seventh-season premiere returns with a new host Ezri Dax, played by Nicole de Boer.
