The company has also expanded its marketing efforts to reach millennial parents, tapping into their nostalgia and positioning Barbie as a timeless and relevant toy.
"Barbie Girl" has sold more than eight million copies worldwide. It went on becoming a huge hit on several continents, remaining the most successful song by the band. It reached number one in more than 10 countries.
However, the BEST age to give Barbies would probably be to a kid between 3–8. For three year olds, it might just be a babydoll, but as they get older they could get some Barbies! This is typically the prime age to play with them, and their friends will most likely have em too!

There's no denying that Barbie only scratches the surface when it comes to its exploration of feminism. The film pretty much only deals with gender (unfortunately, Gerwig might never beat those white feminist allegations) and in a pastiche way at that.
What does the Barbie movie say about gender roles?
The film premiered in theaters July 21, conveying a message to viewers about the significance of women taking action to defy gender roles and societal expectations in order to advocate for their rights.
Overall, younger consumers were more likely to be interested in seeing "Barbie" on the big screen. While 12 percent of moviegoers aged 18 to 29 had already seen the movie in theaters, 36 percent planned to do so but did not have the occasion yet.
While the film gleefully sends up the patriarchy, the audience's gender divide is not as stark as conventional wisdom might make it seem. Female respondents were more likely to have seen the film at 17%, but males weren't far behind at 11%.
