And when the Titanic hits an iceberg and sinks to the bottom of the ocean, Jack performs one final act of love: He helps Rose onto a floating wooden board—and remains in the freezing water beside her. Rose makes it.
Rose's life is spared at the end of Titanic when she survives by floating on a raft, as Jack dies in the water next to her. Fans have theorized for years that the raft was big enough to fit both of them.
Jack was enamored with Rose pretty much from the first time he saw her. Young men like that fall in love pretty quickly (or at least think they are in love). He was a free spirit who basically lived by the seat of his pants, and he felt that Rose was the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
Who saves Rose from falling off the deck in Titanic?
In the scene (60) almost immediately following (Cameron's having deleted most of the intervening scenes), Rose runs to the stern intent on suicide, startling Jack who is lying on a bench, staring at the stars (scene 61). Jack dissuades her, coaxing her to climb back over the rail, then saves her when she slips.

New York, U.S.A. Jack Dawson (born 1892-1912) is the deuteragonist in Titanic and the love interest of Rose DeWitt Bukater. He dies at the end of the film from hypothermia, protecting Rose by having her float on a doorframe while he stays in the water; he was only twenty years old.
This means that if Jack was dead when Rose pushed him under water, then he would have immediately floated back to the surface. But if he was unconscious, he would have breathed water into lungs and eventually sink, which is the case. This shows that Jack was in Stage 3, unconscious, and very much alive.
By the end of Titanic, Rose explained that Cal killed himself after losing his fortune in the Wall Street Crash of 1929, and after the death of Jack, she had a fresh start under a different name. The body of an adult male, whose personal identification revealed he was "J. Dawson," was found at sea after Titanic sank. Bodies were numbered in the order they were recovered. Dawson's body was number 227.
Although Rose changed her name to “Dawson” to honor Jack, used this name during her acting career, and ultimately revealed she never got over Jack, she moved on and got married at some point in her life.
He would be as good as dead anyway by the time he'd swum under the raft in 28-degree (Fahrenheit) waters and tied the lifejacket into place. Moreover, since Rose would have to get off the raft and wait in the water while he did that, she'd probably die of hypothermia as well.
Rose DeWitt Bukater is a fictional character from the film Titanic (1997). She is not a representation of, nor is she based on any past or present living person. As such she could not have children as she never existed. In the context of the film - she has a grand-daughter who accompanies here to the salvage ship.
Winslet cleverly delivers the line, "Goodbye mother," as Ruth is lowered into her lifeboat. Rose runs off to free Jack from being handcuffed to a pipe, and the film never sees Rose and Ruth reuniting.
In the second test, Cameron again fit both Jack and Rose on the raft but positioned their bodies so that their upper halves (which includes vital organs) remained out of the water. Their chances of both surviving increased in this scenario. “Out of the water, [his body's] violent shaking was helping him,” Cameron said.
Did Jack and Rose from the Titanic have a child? No, Rose married after Jack's death and had a child. Rose's adult granddaughter is with old Rose in the beginning and end of the movie. You do realize that Rose, Jack are entirely fictional characters, right?
Titanic ends with Rose dropping the diamond into the ocean and then going to sleep, which is largely interpreted as her death. After the camera pans over her sleeping peacefully, Rose is transported back into the Titanic with Jack and everyone who died on the ship.
Or perhaps Cal's father had some compassion and gave Rose's mother something to live on. Rose was not a real person. The film rose died in 1996 in her sleep at the age of 100 (turning 101 “next month”) the film tells us. The actress who played Rose is Kate Winslet and she is in fact alive and well in 2022.
Co-hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman conducted their own experiment and concluded that both Jack and Rose could have shared the raft and survived, provided they propped their upper bodies upright and figured out how to attach Rose's life jacket underneath it to increase the buoyancy.

Rose, in denial, claimed she loved Cal, and asked Jack to leave her alone. Later, Rose observed a first-class mother and her child correcting her posture, and went to find Jack to tell him that she changed her mind. Jack and Rose share their first kiss. Rose and Jack make love for the first time.
Now it turns out that the Titanic will stay where it is, at least for now, as it is too fragile to be raised from the ocean floor. The acidic salt water, hostile environment and an iron-eating bacterium are consuming the hull of the ship.
She falls out with her finance during the voyage, and meets Jack Dawson. Once the ship has sunk, she chooses to give her name to the authorities as Rose Dawson: thus there is no Rose DeWitt Bukater recorded on the surviving passenger records.
In the final scene of the movie, Rose, who has lived a long and fulfilling life, returns to the site of the wreck and drops the diamond into the ocean, symbolically letting go of the materialistic values that had constrained her earlier in life and embracing the memories of the love and experiences that had shaped her.
