Renesmee (pronounced Ruh-nez-may) Carlie Black (née Cullen) was born on September 11, 2006 to Bella Cullen (formally Bella Swan) and Edward Cullen. When he learns that Bella and Edward are engaged, he is enraged and pretends to sacrifice himself to make Bella willingly offer a kiss, which is the only thing keeping him from killing himself. As Bella is kissing Jacob, she visualizes a future with him and realizes that she is in love with him after all.
