Mr. Freeze is on a constant quest to bring back his beloved Nora, and he'll do whatever it takes to succeed. He wields a freeze gun and uses ice and cold to wreak havoc—mostly in Gotham and against Batman, but he'll turn his chill upon anyone standing in his way.
Unlike most Batman villains, Mr. Freeze is typically portrayed as a sympathetic anti-villainous character, as, in most versions, his motivation for his crimes is to save his dying wife, Nora Fries.
Victor Fries (pronounced "freeze") as a scientist in Gotham City who suffers a lab accident while trying to cryogenically preserve his terminally ill wife, Nora. He turns to crime to fund his research in his obsessive quest to cure Nora by any means necessary, which brings him into conflict with Batman.
Freeze was the alias of Dr. Victor Fries. After the result of an accident that condemned him to live in sub-zero temperatures, scientist Victor Fries became a cold-hearted villain and was determined to find a cure for his wife, Nora's disease, even if he had to freeze all of Gotham City to do it.
After marrying Victor Fries, a GothCorp cryogenics researcher, Nora is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Victor uses the company's equipment to cryogenically freeze his wife until a cure can be found.
When Batman was alive, Freeze and Batman made a deal for Mr. Freeze to stop doing crimes and in exchange Batman would help him with his research. Once Batman died and Freeze lost his income of resources for his research, Mr. Freeze continued to do many crimes.
Subzero Physiology: The accident caused Freeze to become genetically altered with a bizarre condition that has irreversibly frozen him to the bone, transforming him into a cold-blooded mutate that must always be kept below zero.
Summary. In the 1980s DC Comic Super Power #2, Gotham villain Mr. Freeze was given a significant power upgrade after he was hit was a blast of Omega Energy, the same thing that gives cosmic villain Darkseif his powers.
Before becoming Mr. Freeze, Victor Fries was an average human being with short black hair, blue eyes and a medium build. After his mutation, Freeze's skin was turned white, and his eyes were completely red.
The resulting explosion smashed him into his cryogenic freezing tanks and the accident soaked his entire body with the freezing solution and rendered him unable to survive outside of a sub-zero environment.
Victor Fries is a cryogenics engineer who kidnapped citizens of Gotham and froze them to find a means of freezing his terminally ill wife Nora Fries so she could be brought back when a cure is found.
Following DC Rebirth, Nora was changed back to being the frozen wife of Mr. Freeze. In this universe, Victor (assisted by Lex Luthor) managed to finally cure Nora's illness and bring her back.
Wayne/ Batman is a splintered manifestation of a potential whole; his condition represents the schizophrenia required of a hero dedicated to the preservation of the fractured psyche of Gotham.

Various DC titles established the existence of Earth-2, an alternate universe where the heroes of DC's Golden Age comics still exist. In this world, Batman and Catwoman eventually got married and raised a daughter, Helena. Long before they settled down in the regular DCU, Bruce and Selina tied the knot on Earth-2.
Summary. Gotham City is a unique and dangerous place that attracts villains, who view it as the ultimate proving ground for crime and corruption. The presence of Batman is not the sole reason why villains flock to Gotham; it is the city itself that draws them in.
While there are numerous ways to damage him, our personal favorites involved using the electromagnet, electrocution in the water, using the Line Launcher from behind, a backside silent takedown, and finally, using the Disruptor against him.
The first version of the cryo-suit was an "air conditioned" costume, designed by Mister Zero in order to help him remain in temperatures below zero. The suit was equipped with a special glass helmet connected to a gas tank located on the back of the suit.
