The funeral of Qui-Gon Jinn took place in the city Theed, capital of the planet Naboo, after his death at the hands of Darth Maul in 32 BBY. Once he defeated the Sith Lord, Obi-Wan Kenobi moved his master's body to the city's funeral temple, where a traditional Jedi funeral was held in his honor.
With his last breath, the Jedi Master asked Obi-Wan to train Anakin, a request Kenobi accepted. A short time later, the Jedi Master's body was cremated at a funeral attended by numerous mourners, including Anakin, Obi-Wan, Jar Jar, and several Jedi Council members.
Through burning the Jedi after death, the possibility of the Force living on as an echo through the dead body is removed, meaning the Jedi in question are fully at peace.
Jinn's former master, Count Dooku, had been considered to attend the funeral but had declined the invitation, claiming he would not be "pleasant company".
Attack of the Clones introduces his former Jedi mentor Count Dooku, who fell to the dark side of the Force and became a Sith Lord. At the end of Revenge of the Sith, it is revealed that Qui-Gon has learned how to become a Force spirit after death, teaching the idea to Yoda during the Clone Wars and later to Obi-Wan.
The easy explanation was that Qui-Gon didn't use the dark side to sustain himself. He was wounded, and he wouldn't have dreamed of using the dark side to keep himself alive. So, he died of an injury that a dark-sider probably could have survived.
We are led to assume this as in TCW Qui-gon admits his training was incomplete. He could only appear on Mortis, anywhere else he could only be a disembodied voice.
The two were able to free Maul after he had been interrogated by the Sith Lord Count Dooku, and together the three rendezvoused with more Death Watch forces on the moon of Zanbar. Maul took command of his forces once again, and assured them that the war they had longed for was at hand.
Why did Dooku turn to the dark side after Qui-Gon died?
In addition, he revealed that he thought of the Jedi Council as being at least as responsible for Qui-Gon's death as the Sith who had killed him, and that it was their perceived short-sightedness and obstinacy which had truly lead him to leave the Order.
Because Maul punched him with the hilt of his saber and then stabs him faster than Qui-Gon can pull back his blade. So Qui-Gon lost because Maul was physically stronger and quicker than him. Qui-Gon is skilled but not a prodigy. And he's quickly worn down by Maul in both their encounters.
The reason why Qui-Gon Jinn is the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy is because he had seen everything that would unfold throughout the Skywalker Saga in a vision of the future, sacrificing himself to ensure the fulfilling of the Chosen One prophecy.
Throughout the Star Wars franchise, Force users and dark side users are shown dying without their bodies disappearing or exploding, but this is because they're not becoming one with the Force.
Obi-Wan is good at letting his emotions go. He feels them in the moment, the anger and sadness over deaths of ones he loved like Qui-Gon and Satine. The guilt and pain over Anakin's turn. He feels them deeply, and then lets them go.
Qui-Gon Jinn was killed by Darth Maul in a lightsaber duel on Naboo. At first, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan fought Maul side by side, with the Sith Lord deftly taking on both Jedi with his signature dual-sided lightsaber.
Count Dooku's real name, Dooku, was more fitting than his Sith title, Darth Tyranus, as it speaks to his manipulative nature. Dooku played a crucial role in weakening the Jedi and the Republic from within, planting doubt and eroding trust.
Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
Affiliation(s) Katri was a Mirialan Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Order's Jedi High Council. Between 68 BBY and 42 BBY, she was killed by a group of security guards on Raxus Secundus, and her death was investigated by Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Dooku. Her seat on the Jedi Council was awarded to Windu.
Sidious revealed to Maul that he did not intend to kill his former apprentice, as he still had use for Maul; it was Sidious' hope that Maul would lead the Sith to Mother Talzin, Maul's mother and the leader of the Nightsisters, so she could be eliminated as a potential threat to the eventual Sith rule of the galaxy.
Qui-Gon: I cannot. My training was incomplete. As such, he can only ever materialize as a disembodied voice in the physical world. The other Jedi who have achieved oneness with the Force have disappeared upon death, such as Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Luke.
Notable Jedi like Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker are all examples of characters who faded from existence moments before their deaths. The reason these Jedi fade from existence rather than leave a body is due to teachings learned by Qui-Gon Jinn.
In The Clone Wars, Yoda discovers that Qui-Gon learned the path to immortality from a Whill. He didn't complete his training before death, so only his voice could be heard, he's not able to manifest himself like Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin.
