Detective Mark Kincaid is the husband of Sidney Prescott. He was introduced as a homicide detective in Scream 3 (2000). After assigning Gale Weathers to help him investigate the Stab 3 murders following Cotton Weary and Christine Hamilton's murders, he develops an interest in Sidney, her mother and their story.
In Scream, the fictional town of Woodsboro is besieged by a masked killer who focuses on Sidney, revealed in the finale as Sidney's boyfriend Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich), aided by his friend Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard).
That night, as Sidney stays over with Jill and her aunt Kate, Olivia is killed by Ghostface as Jill and Kirby watch in horror from across the street. Sidney herself is then confronted by Ghostface, and they fight until Ghostface is forced to flee when Perkins and Hoss arrive.

Did Sydney lose her virginity to Billy?
Not that Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) was very pleased to find out that the guy she'd lost her virginity to - Billy - mere minutes prior was a serial killer. However, unbeknownst to Scream devotees, it wasn't just Sidney who shared a bed with Billy around the time of the first Scream.
Although Billy has made it clear from his first scene that he's hoping to have sex with Sidney, when they actually do have sex, she's the one to bring it up. She isn't persuaded, seduced, or carried away in a moment of passion. The sex scene isn't particularly romantic or even titillating.
Campbell hasn't ultimately said goodbye to Sidney and the Scream movies, so if the studio agrees to pay her fairly, it's likely she would return as a character for Scream 7. New characters might be at the center of the current Scream story, but Campbell will always be the face of the franchise.
