He has been actually beaten by Drax (pre-retcon, where he was created for the sole purpose of killing Thanos), Adam Warlock, God Emperor Doom, Hunger, Mar-Vell, Gamora (somehow) and Squirrel Girl.
While audiences never got to see Quicksilver at full power, super-speed is one of the best abilities a hero can have when facing an enemy like Thanos. With enough training, Quicksilver would have been more than capable of defeating Thanos when he finally arrived in Infinity War.
Thor is also one of the only heroes who actually has a win over thanos and has never decisively lost to him in a fair fight. Many people act like thanos would just destroy thor easily, but I personally think it'd be a really close fight with thanos barely edging out a win.

Who ultimately kills Thanos?
Thanos' death in Avengers: Endgame by Iron Man wielding the Infinity Stones is the most iconic and satisfying death in the MCU. Thanos' beheading by Thor in Avengers: Endgame is a darkly satisfying moment of character development and raises intrigue for the plot.
While Thanos is usually the victor, it's generally down to him using superior tactics and technology, rather than simply possessing greater physical strength. However, when the two clashed in Infinity War, Thanos beat Hulk in a wildly one-sided fight.
The power of the Scarlet Witch against Thanos was on display in both Infinity War and Endgame. It was also acknowledged in WandaVision - she very nearly beat him. Now, having fully embraced her power as a witch and practitioner of chaos magic, it's clear - Wanda would destroy Thanos.
