Initially, she refuses to believe that Chucky was alive, but she soon finds out when he comes alive and tries to kill her.

In the post-credits scene of Curse of Chucky, it is revealed that Karen is still alive and was released from the mental facility. It is strongly hinted at that she and detective Norris are married, but this is unconfirmed.

Is Child's Play 2 inappropriate?
This is an evil film bound to give nightmares to any child who sees it and many adults, too. It took the reviewer two hours to regain composure from the film's emotional bombardment of graphic, explicit gore, violence, murder, and the accompanying sound effects.
Andy became a ward of the state, as it was mentioned in Child's Play, that his father was dead and it's implied there are no other relatives to take him in.
However, Peter Docter, a Pixar director and one of the story writers of Toy Story 2, revealed that the theory is actually false (via ET Online). Docter explained that he does have a backstory for Jessie, but he's not willing to reveal what it is just yet.
While Kristina Hubbard highlighted that Boo's real name is canonically Mary Gibbs, the same as her voice actor, meaning she can't be Emily and is unlikely to be Andy's mom.

Bo appeared briefly in the beginning of Toy Story 3 but doesn't speak. Her cameo is in the home movies Andy's mom makes. By the time of the actual events of the film, it is revealed that Bo is one of the toys that have been given away.
However, those rumors are proven false due to the fact that Boo's real name is Mary Gibbs, not Bonnie. Boo herself actually does make two brief cameo appearances in the sequel Toy Story 4 where she appears in Bonnie's kindergarten class and at the carnival.
