This film tells about the character of Judy Hopps who is a rabbit woman. Since childhood, Judy dreamed of becoming a policewoman in the city of Zootopia. However, she was considered unable to be a police woman because of her small body and she was a woman who came from the prey group animal.

In an interview, the directors stated that they intentionally made Judy and Nick's relationship ambiguous in the ending. They also stated that in a potential sequel, they felt it would be necessary to define the relationship, as to whether it is romantic or platonic in nature.
