It has been said by many that J'onn J'onzz is the heart and soul of the League. One of the last surviving members of his species, the Martian Manhunter wields such powers as the ability to shape-shift, telepathy, flight, invisibility, phasing, super-strength and Martian vision.

Even John Stewart agrees that J'onn is the single most powerful creature on the planet. It is unknown if the Martian Manhunter actually needs to eat or not but he has been seen consuming food, particularly "Chocos," a brand of cookies.

The Manhunter later quit Stormwatch and erased his existence from the group's members. The Manhunter then joined the Justice League of America as it's leader after being recruited by Steve Trevor, the Manhunter did so as only he was deemed powerful enough to take on Superman, his counterpart from the original League.
Though his comics history has been tweaked over and over throughout the years, the gist is that he's usually portrayed as the last living Martian, going through a tragic story loosely reminiscent of Superman's origin story on Krypton.
Martian Manhunter has Martian Vision, shape-shifting, super speed, super strength, and nigh invulnerability. The only serious difference between the two of them is how available their weakness is. Superman can really only be hurt by Kryptonite and magic, two things that aren't super easy to come by.

Darkseid's immense power easily outclasses Black Adam with his Omega Beams, immeasurable strength, and absolutely insane durability. Darkseid has survived explosions and weapons that were specifically designed to kill him.
Who would win Doctor Strange or Martian Manhunter?
While Martian Manhunter is quite the powerful he is not even the most powerful being on earth for normal fights. Dr Strange is the Protector of Earth 616 from many external threats including Nightmare (the embodiment of nightmares) alternate reality being of equal level with more experience.
The only way to beat the Hulk is to end the fight as quickly as possible, otherwise he'll get too strong to deal with. Martian Manhunter would be able to accomplish this. Martian Manhunter is much, much stronger than the Hulk before the Jade Giant's strength gets enhanced by anger.
