Marinette Dupain-Cheng (French pronunciation: [maʁinɛt dypɛ̃ tʃɛŋ]) is a fictional character and the female protagonist of the animated television series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir created by Thomas Astruc.
In universe, Lila, she brainwashes everyone with her lies and everyone other than Adrien and Marinette thinks that she's "amazing" and "the best", including Alya... girl... why?! Other than that, Marinette and Adrien are mostly liked characters in universe.
In Season 5, Adrien fell in love with Marinette. But Marinette fell in love with Cat Noir, so she rejects Adrien. This ship is very popular and many fans enjoy shipping it.
