Aladdin is the main protagonist of the eponymous Disney classic and related media of the same name. He is an ex Agrabah "street rat" who is married to his princess, Jasmine. Aladdin is based on the protagonist of the fairy tale Aladdin and the wonderful lamp of the Thousand and One Nights collection.

Saleen was vain, scheming, bratty and spoiled. She saw herself as the most important and beautiful around. The reason we think of the story as one of the true-born Arabian Nights is that many of the characters in the tale of Aladdin are Arabian Muslims with Arabic names.
