Kenny continues to taunt Levi, criticizing his decision to join the Scout Regiment and throwing chairs over the bar to antagonize him. As he tries to get closer to Levi, Levi shoots him with the tavern owner's gun.
It is later revealed that Kenny was Levi's uncle, who took care of the latter after his mother, Kuchel Ackerman died. After teaching Levi how to fight, he abandoned him feeling that he could not be a good parent to Levi.
Kenny's main goal was to obtain power, and his personality was molded around this goal. As such, he was a ruthless, sarcastic and manipulative individual who did not hesitate to do anything to get the job done, including a murderer or a traitor.
With Kenny, we can't really know. He's obviously really strong, and although Levi eventually beat him in battle, he has much more experience than both Levi and Mikasa. Plus, when Levi beat him, he wasn't in his prime anymore. Also, Levi didn't kill him, he just injured him.

Can Kenny defeat Levi?
These two members of the Ackerman Clan were incredibly strong. Still, Levi proved that he could defeat his uncle, especially since he fought Kenny with other members of the Anti-Personnel Control Squad and lived to tell the tale.
He admits that he has not told Historia some things but does reveal that he can not become a Titan himself for an unspecified reason. Kenny releases Rod, and Rod tells him that he is free to leave and should go live a long life.
After the death of his sister Kuchel, Kenny swore to raise Levi as his own child and even taught him how to fight and take care of himself. However, at a certain point, Kenny abandoned Levi, as he felt that he was unfit to be a parent.
Witnessing his mother's death was traumatic enough, but seeing countless allies die in front of him was a major factor in Eren's fall to the dark side.
Naruto and Levi may be equally matched in terms of physical strength thanks to the Ackerman's supernatural bloodline, but even with his many years of experience fighting titans, Levi has never faced anything like Naruto.
In the episode "Kenny Dies", Kenny dies after developing terminal muscular dystrophy, while Parker and Stone claimed that Kenny would not be returning in subsequent episodes. The duo insisted they grew tired of upholding the tradition of having Kenny die in each episode.

They don't spell it out, but the implication is that the branch of the family Kenny is referring to is Mikasa's family. Since he uses the term "branch" it's likely not his immediate family (parents and siblings). I figure they're probably cousins, perhaps distant ones, since he doesn't bother with names.

Levi was angry at him because Erwin was willing to sacrifice others to complete a goal that he wasn't willing to give his life for. Later he gave his life for the goal.
Eren hurls Armin out of the Titan's mouth but is eaten in his place as Armin screams in anguish. Stuck in a state of shock for some time, Armin is shaken out of it by Conny who questions where the rest of his squad is.
We now know that only Eldians can turn into Titans. We also know that the Coordinate doesn't work on Asians and Ackermans (and other unnamed clans). This implies that that the Coordinate only works on Eldians.
As it turns out, Levi's mother was Kenny's sister, who died when Levi was very young. As his only living family member, Kenny felt he owed it to his sister to look after her son, his nephew. Once Levi was able to fend for himself, Kenny felt he had fulfilled his obligation to his sister and left him.
