At the end of the film, Andy, his mother Karen, and two police detectives, Mike Norris and Jackie Santos, try to fight off Chucky. After he's lit on fire and loses both an arm and a leg, Karen shoots him repeatedly, and he is even beheaded. It isn't until Norris shoots Chucky in the heart that he finally dies.
In the film, a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky (Brad Dourif) uses a voodoo ritual inside a toy store to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll to escape from Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon).
Karen sends Andy to get a first aid kit, but Andy sees that Chucky is not in the fireplace. Completely burnt, he chases after Andy, who runs to the bedroom. Karen shoots him several times, knocking off his head, arm, and leg.
As Andy talks about his birthday dinner at Karen's place, Chucky cuts his way out of the box. Ready to kill, Chucky turns around, only to see Andy pointing a shotgun directly at his face. Before Chucky can react, Andy fires.
Chucky approaches Andy once more just as Tyler and Andy are about to depart, but Tyler gives Andy his pocket knife, which he uses to sever Chucky's hand. Then Andy throws Chucky into the attraction's enormous metal fan, where he gets torn to bits and eventually killed.
The Child's Play franchise is known for its brutal, high kill counts. Racking up the kills together from all seven movies, Chucky has killed a total of 67 people.
Six years after the events of Seed of Chucky, Tiffany's soul still possesses actress Jennifer Tilly's body. She does not appear on-screen until it is revealed that she was the one responsible for mailing Chucky out to Nica's home, facilitating his murder spree on the family he blames for his human death.
The Colonel's final words. The Colonel (2021 – 2022) was a Good Guy doll possessed by a piece of the original Chucky's soul. He believed himself to be the supreme Chucky and murdered many others, taking Andy Barclay as a hostage and becoming a cannibal by eating parts of him.
As a result, his persona changed from one of murder and toxicity to one of almost childlike innocence. However, the dam seemingly began to break as the “real” Chucky poked through, resulting in the defenestration of Nadine as well as a full-on return to evil once Andy Barclay and the gang came to give him an exorcism.
Unfortunately, as is so often the case, that Good Guy doll has been possessed by the spirit of a serial killer, the notorious Charles Lee Ray. After gruesomely murdering several people in Andy's life, Chucky attempts to transfer his soul into Andy so that he can be a real boy.
Weaknesses. Chucky isn't without his flaws, as he is known to be very impatient and rather arrogant. Chucky's Voodoo abilities only work under specific circumstances and have requirements for them to work. Despite being a doll, he has spent so long in his doll body that he has turned anatomically human.
After she gets separated from Andy, one of the Chucky dolls tricks Kyle into triggering a bomb set by Tiffany, presumably killing her. It is revealed in episode four of season two, Death on Denial, that she survived the explosion. She helps Nica Pierce escape from Tiffany with the help of Glen and Glenda.

We learn that Tiffany took her in as a foster after the events of Curse of Chucky, and Chucky used that opportunity to put a part of his soul in her body (effectively killing her).
He only became evil due to his sadistic desire to hurt and kill others, shown when his father was killed by the Hackensack killer, and decided to become just like him because he was inspired by the killers actions.
While creator Don Mancini took inspiration from his childhood and horror stories that came before, the character of Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky, is completely fictional.
Charles Lee Ray was a character known as the Lakeshore Strangler who murdered 22 people before his death in the beginning of Child's Play. He is Chucky's original human form before he transferred his soul into a doll.
Unfortunately for Chucky, he slowly turns human from being in the doll body for too long. Not only is his body becoming human, but so are his internal organs, thus meaning if shot in the heart, he'll die.
Despite inside the body of a doll, Chucky can feel pain and can bleed when injured, and has a large scar with stitches on his face. He used many weapons including guns, but mostly an axe or a knife to kill people who buy or sees him killing someone.
The battle between the Glen and Glenda personas continues, with Glen being a nice boy that doesn't like violence, and Glenda being a sadistic killer like her parents. Eventually, Tiffany decides to give up killing to raise her child, but Chucky refuses.
How Did Chucky Become A Doll In Child's Play? The 1988 Child's Play opens with serial killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) escaping from the police. Shot and wounded, Ray flees into a toy store and performs a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll called Chucky.
Before he can do it though, Chucky kills Ardmore, allowing Andy to escape the hospital. Andy makes it back to the apartment, but Chucky follows him. Chucky knocks him unconscious with a baseball bat and begins the ritual to transfer his soul. Luckily Norris and Karen burst in just in time to save Andy.
After much pursuit of his most intended victim, Chucky decides to pursue Andy on his own and eventually begins the chant that made him a doll the night he was killed. However, Karen and Detective Norris intervene just in time before Chucky finishes the chant and therefore take Andy's soul.
"I hate guns," he elaborates. "They are like my Achilles Heel along with axes, fire, and industrial-sized fans." As longtime Child's Play viewers will recognize, each was a reference that correlated to an actual defeat -- with the ax used in Seed of Chucky and the giant fan being a part of Child's Play 3.
Through flashbacks, Chucky explains that he was a friend of the family. He was in love with Sarah, but she was married and pregnant with Nica. Chucky killed Sarah's husband and kidnapped her some time after the funeral. After Sarah rejects him, Chucky stabs her in the stomach before fleeing from the police.
She is his accomplice in murder and love and has the same killer instincts. Tiffany loves Chucky, even in his doll form, and in Bride of Chucky, she recovers his body from the authorities so she can raise him from the dead yet again.
