Tara Carpenter is nearly killed by Amber Freeman. Amber firstly slashed Tara's stomach, then broke her anckle, pierced Tara's hand and finally stabbed Tara twice in the back and once in the chest. However, Tara survived the attack and became the first victim, who was not killed in the opening.
However, Amber disabled the lock system from Tara's cloned cellphone, came inside the house and attacked Tara mercilessly. Amber spared her life because the purpose of this attack was to lure Samantha, her sister and Richie's boyfriend, back into town. Tara was sent to the hospital, but Amber managed to escape.
In Scream (2022), though, Tara survives. Using every resource at her disposal—her Stab knowledge, her phone, a knife, her hands and feet, etc. —to fight back, and despite sustaining several wounds, Tara manages to hold out long enough for the paramedics to arrive.

In old Scream and slasher movie fashion, Amber wakes up from the dead one last time and is then fatally shot in the head by her best friend and the film's protagonist, Tara.
Undoubtedly! Dewey is a resilient character and has survived injuries in previous Scream movies. If somebody found him in time and got him medical attention, there's a good chance he could have made it. But let's not forget that this is a horror movie, and the writers might have had other plans for Dewey's character.

Early casting calls and scripts portrayed Amber as formerly in a relationship with Tara Carpenter. These elements were cut from the theatrical release for unknown reasons.
As he gets closer to Tara, he strikes up a romantic relationship with her and he is later stabbed multiple times by two Ghostface killers whilst trying to protect her and is once again left for dead, however he is able to survive his injuries once more. He is portrayed by Mason Gooding.
“Scream 6” rides the momentum of the previous film and ups the ante in every way. It's funnier, scarier and much much bloodier. If you aren't a fan of gore, walk into this film with some caution. The kills are more frequent and take up more screen time than ever before.
