Master Shifu Although Shifu initially doubts Po's potential in kung fu, he later trains Po to help him defeat Tai Lung and become a kung fu master. After Tai Lung's defeat, Shifu becomes a more relaxed master to Po and the Five.
Shifu leads Po through the Wu Dan Mountains to the Pool of Sacred Tears, and in the very place where Oogway first created kung fu, Shifu begins to train Po to become the Dragon Warrior. Using food to motivate him, Po's skills and strength begin to develop.

Was Po actually the dragon warrior?
He is an anthropomorphic giant panda who is improbably chosen as the champion of the Valley of Peace in the first film. Po is the prophesied Dragon Warrior or Dragon Master, as well as the Warrior of Black and White. He is the adoptive son of Mr. Ping (a Chinese goose) and is one of Master Shifu's students.

Kai spent the next 500 years in the Spirit Realm harnessing the chi from every dead kung fu master in the Spirit Realm and becoming more and more fury-driven and hateful. He eventually managed to defeat Oogway and returned to the mortal realm only to be defeated for good by Oogway's true successor Po.
Po clearly sees a lot of himself in Zhen. She is an orphan who was taken in by someone else at a young age, just like he was. Zhen is also incredibly resourceful and loyal. They might have very different backgrounds, or even kung fu abilities, before becoming Dragon Warrior, but that does not scare Po.
Viper. Of the Five, Viper was the only one who showed a more kind and compassionate disbelief that Po was the Dragon Warrior as she feared that Po would just wind up getting hurt or worse.
