The Nikto hideout was an encampment located on the desert world Arvala-7 that was controlled by a gang of Nikto mercenaries in 9 ABY, guarding an infant named Grogu. At that time, the bounty hunters IG-11 and Din Djarin raided the encampment during their search for Grogu.
In the series, the protagonist known as "the Mandalorian" is hired to track down and capture Grogu for a remnant of the fallen Galactic Empire, but instead, he becomes his adoptive father and protects him from the Imperials.
Who Saved Grogu From Order 66? As depicted in "Chapter 20: The Foundling," Grogu was rescued from the attack on the Jedi Temple by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Beq completed the daring escape that got Grogu to safety, then escaped the attack with his life.
We don't know much about the origins of baby Yoda five episodes into the series, but we do know mom and dad are nowhere to be seen and he has been left in the care of the Mandalorian for an extended period of time. In fact, Mando has started to care for the child as his own and has effectively adopted him.
He's able to get away with the infant unscathed, thanks to the help of his fellow Mandalorians led by Paz Visla (Jon Favreau). Now, faces a far dangerous future with baby Yoda with him, but he was willing to go through with it simply because he can relate to it, since he lost his parents when he was just a child.
They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery. Grogu's physical appearance is similar to Yoda, the legendary Jedi Master from the "Star Wars" films.
While the first flashback simply revealed that a number of Jedi went to their deaths trying to protect Grogu, this time, we learned that it was Jedi Master Kelleran Beq (played by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best) who got Grogu away from the Jedi Temple and off Coruscant.
Grogu appears to be the youngest known member of Yoda's species. He is only 50 years old, and he is still developmentally an infant. For the whole first season of The Mandalorian™, they referred to him only as the Child. It seems that the species is, for whatever reason, quite slow to age.
He believes that his (then not yet) adoptive father is in distress and that Cara Dune is trying to hurt him. In anger and fear, he Force-chokes Cara until his father explains that it's okay.
One popular fan theory says Grogu is a clone of Yoda. While there is circumstantial evidence to support that possibility, Grogu's age would seem to contradict that idea. The Jedi Council didn't even know about Kamino's clone army until Attack of the Clones set in 22 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope).
Beyond the Force powers exhibited by his species, it is also possible that Grogu specifically is of special importance to the Jedi Order. The Mandalorian is seeing him begin to embrace both Jedi and Mandalorian teachings, something that may give him a unique position in the galaxy.
Grogu was the most highly valued target in the galaxy, sought after by Moff Gideon hence the hiring of multiple hunters who were desperate for a meaningful payout during this period of galactic recession.
It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.
As the knights in the Jedi Temple made a valiant effort at protecting him during Order 66, Grogu was whisked off Coruscant by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq, played by none other than former Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best.
Yoda's age at death, a hasty 900 years old, reveals the absurd constancy of his species. This fantastic life span sheds ablaze on the mysteries of the Star Wars universe. His continued activity accustomed him to coach endless Jedi, including the allegorical Luke Skywalker.
All the official Star Wars merch calls him The Child. On the show, they call him The Asset. What gives? The short answer is that “Yoda” is the name of a character, not a species, and the character we see on The Mandalorian is different from the Yoda we know and love from the Star Wars movies.
Why does Disney call Grogu "The Child," and not Baby Yoda? Because “Yoda” is the name of the old Jedi Master who died during the events of Return of the Jedi. It is not the name of that person's species, which has not been named on-screen. Yoda is not, as far as we know, the father of Grogu.
While the infant of Yoda's species is a heartwarming addition to the Star Wars universe, his habit of devouring some innocent critters shows that even an adorable creature might struggle with good and evil. Like most human children, The Child will eat the first thing he lays his eyes on whenever he's hungry.
Given that Grogu, Yoda, and Yaddle are the only known canon members of their species, it makes sense why some would try to draw a connection between the three of them. While Star Wars hasn't disproved the theory, it's highly unlikely that Yoda or Yaddle were Grogu's biological parents.

A Human from Concord Dawn, Fett was adopted by Mandalorian warriors following the murder of his parents and the disappearance of his older sister Arla in 58 BBY.
In The Mandalorian season 2, Ahsoka Tano explained that Grogu needed to choose his own path, and it may be with the Mandalorians rather than the Jedi (showing Tano may be a little wiser than Luke, to boot). Thus, Grogu choosing his family over the asceticism of the Jedi Order made for incredibly engaging storytelling.
Minch Yoda, known by most as simply just Yoda, was a legendary Groglyn male who was regarded as one of the most renowned and powerful Jedi Masters in the history of the Jedi.
