Are cosmic entities more powerful than Kang The Conqueror? Yes! Beings like Galactus, Celestials, Aspects, Concepts, hell, even Sentry, and Thor are far stronger than him. The reason why Kang is dangerous is because they're are like a billion of him within the timeline.
The Council of Kangs, having deemed Kang too dangerous, chose to banish him into the Quantum Realm in an attempt to prevent a new war, since Kang was still seeking to conquer the Multiverse.
In terms of scale, Kang seems like the obvious Thanos replacement, as they are both threats of the same scale. However, Kingpin's trajectory as Thanos' replacement not only makes sense but also brings something new to the MCU. Not every huge MCU villain can be some big cosmic threat, or audiences will get bored.
After escaping to the Garden and destroying the Stones, he is eventually killed by Thor. Five years later, an alternate version of Thanos from 2014 time travels to 2023 to battle the Avengers once again, but is killed by Tony Stark.
After a long search, Ronan acquired the Orb, but after realizing it had housed the Power Stone, he instead betrayed Thanos and chose to take the Orb's power for himself. Using his new-found power, he and his forces attacked Xandar, only to be defeated and killed by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Maw is unequivocally loyal to Thanos, fighting side by side with his fellow Children of Thanos—Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive—to secure his “father” the Infinity Stones and fulfill what he deems to be a worthy and righteous destiny.
In addition to his desire to conquer all of time and space, Kang has also been motivated by a desire for personal power and control. He has been known to forge alliances with other villains and use them to further his own ends, but he is ultimately a solo operator who values his own ambitions above all else.
However, Doom's power and the world he created were only temporary -as was Thanos' death- and not part of Doom's typical power-set. However, it does seem as though Thanos is still the victor considering all that can be done while wielding the Infinity Stones.

Marvel may recast Kang amid doubts about his viability as a villain, and Galactus would be a formidable alternative for MCU Phase 6. Galactus is a massive and well-known Marvel villain, with potential to be a recurring threat unlike Kang, ensuring a greater impact.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
Kulan Gath surpasses Thanos as the ultimate bad guy, as seen when he not just defeated the Avengers but killed most of Earth's heroes in a shocking and terrifying display of this Conan the Barbarian villain's power. To add insult to injury, Kulan Gath ate them afterward.
Unfortunately, this didn't work, and Ahura ended up killing Kang and assuming his position, leading to an epic and heartbreaking battle between Ahura and the Inhumans.
