Gotham City fascinates Bane because, like Peña Duro, fear rules Gotham—but it is the fear of Batman. Bane is convinced that Batman is a personification of the demonic bat which had haunted his dreams since childhood. Therefore, Bane believes fate placed Batman on a collision course with him.
The page everyone remembers from Batman: Knightfall is Bane “breaking the Bat” over his knee. But Bane beat Batman by working smarter, not harder. Bane was able to defeat the Dark Knight physically by first exhausting him spiritually (and, well, also physically).
When Bane was a child, he was haunted by a bat demon thing, which may or may not been his imagination. When he found out about Batman, he transferred his fear and hatred of that demon onto Batman.
Bane's true objective was to kill Batman to achieve his own sense of peace, and he believed that the Dark Knight was a dark figment of his imagination as he rotted away in his Santa Prisca prison cell, and then to conquer Gotham City and forge his own criminal empire.
Breaking Batman's back was the culmination of a well-orchestrated plan that recognized Batman could only be taken down by exhausting him physically and mentally. Breaking Batman's back was a triumph for Bane, but in many ways, it shows how deeply he understood his opponent.
When Bruce Wayne finds Kinsolving, he finds himself caught in the middle of a telekinetic tug-of-war between Asp and Kinsolving. The battle climaxes with her refocusing her energy to defeat Asp; as a side effect of the energy, Bruce's broken spine becomes healed.
Except for Bane who, on more than one occasion, has proven that he is without a doubt Batman's intellectual equal. During the infamous "Knightfall" story arc, the villain did the impossible and broke Batman's back after deducing the hero's identity.

Whether one loves or hates Hardy's Bane voice there's no question he did put a lot of thought into the way the character should speak. Ultimately, it seems Hardy and Nolan mainly wanted to avoid a “neutral tone villain voice” by giving Bane a strange and distinctive way of expressing himself.

He has a white father, and a Latina mother. But as someone who never knew his father until he was an adult, who was born and spent his formative years in Pena Duro, the prison colony of Santa Prisca, and now as a man who still considers Santa Prisca his home, Bane is Latino by nationality as well.
After Bane helped Talia al Ghul escape from the Pit, he was attacked by prisoners. However, a doctor failed to treat him and left him in chronic pain. Out of gratitude for saving his daughter, Ra's al Ghul liberated Bane from the Pit and provided him with a crude prototype mask to numb his pain.
DC Comics writer Tom King revealed that he believes the Riddler is the most frightening Batman villain of all time because he's actually smarter than the Dark Knight.
As well financially Lex Luthor is doing better, so there's nothing really that Lex has to worry about Batman and I highly doubt Lex Luthor is questioning his intelligence to Batman. Lex Luthor is the smartest Human in the DC universe.
Grayson has donned the cape and cowl to replace Bruce Wayne as Batman. His most notable spell as Batman follows Bruce Wayne's supposed death in Final Crisis, and sees Grayson adopt Damian Wayne as his Robin.
He was injured early in his story. Hes suffering from pain and he needs gas to survive. He cannot survive the pain without the mask. The pipes from the mask go back along his jawline and feed into the thing at the back where there are two canisters of what ever it is…the anesthetic.
Is he suffering from decades of sleep deprivation? Batman gets more sleep than you think he does thanks to misdirection. He only really needs to attend a fundraiser or gala once a month to seem like an active philanthropist, then send his representatives to attend others.
