Howard later realizes that Jimmy is behind the harassment and rescinds the job offer. In a public outburst, Jimmy lashes out at Howard, blaming him for Chuck's death and claiming that as Saul Goodman, he has grown too big for the constraints of a job at HHM.
Howard refuses, seeing that Jimmy is feigning concern for the clients and is only interested in his cut of the money. He insults Jimmy and claims it is like talking to Gollum and that Jimmy is transparent and pathetic and even offers him a handout from his wallet to torment him.
