Does Mirabel get a gift by the end of Encanto, however? The ending reveals Mirabel's true gift: the miracle itself. She keeps her family's gifts alive and helps them flourish despite not having tangible powers.

Why does abuela have a door but no gift?
The most reasonable explanation for Abuela having her own door (which, is worth noting, glows like any other even though she doesn't have powers) is that the candle and Casita gave it to her because she's the Candle Keeper and “Miracle Guardian”, as was as the leader of the Madrigal family.

But surprisingly less attention has been given to what seems to be the key message of the movie: people do not need to be special to deserve love, security, and ultimately, rights. Through song, “Encanto” quietly teaches a powerful lesson about the flaws of U.S. immigration policy.
Bruno hadn't used his abilities for the last 10 years (it said he left when Maribel was 5 she's 15 now) so since he hadn't used it the magic in his room died out that would also be why the Casita couldn't help in there and why his room wasn't glowing.
When Encanto ends, the candle no longer exists, but Mirabel is able to unlock the magic once again by leading the rebuilding of the casita. This practically confirms the idea that she is the new keeper of the miracle. Finally, the butterfly motif present throughout the film connects Mirabel, Abuela and the candle.
Because the candle that kept the miracle alive in all of Encanto was about to fall out of the window, despite Dolores trying to protecting him, Camilo joined Mirabel and Isabela in trying to retrieve the candle.
For example, all Abuela Alma (María Cecilia Botero) knows is that the magic came on the night her husband, Pedro, died. Pedro sacrificed himself to help Alma and the other villagers, and that sacrifice manifested into a magical candle and grew into the enchanted house and the family developing powers.
The yellow butterflies in Bruno's vision and when Abuela and Mirabel embrace at the end of Encanto also have their own meaning, as these are seen as a symbol of happiness and imagination, serving as a good omen for the Madrigals.
Indeed, the reason why Mirabel doesn't get a gift in Encanto is that she already had the brains to take over as the family leader after Abuela Alma. Therefore, the miracle didn't need to give her an additional gift — Mirabel's gift in Encanto is her intellect, which she already possessed before the movie even began.

Abuela treasures the ceremony in which the future generations get their gift, and when Mirabel doesn't receive one, she becomes cold towards her, despite not overtly having a gift herself. She is also harsh on other members of the Madrigal family, but Mirabel becomes distinctively left out.
Dolores was gifted with the power of enhanced hearing, which means she can hear everything, even the slightest noise such as an eye twitching. According to Mirabel's song, she can hear a pin drop and a chorus from a mile away.
Within Encanto then, Dolores' “squeak” means that she is talking about something potentially upsetting or heard information she was not supposed to know. However, Dolores' squeak also has a deeper historical meaning. According to one explanation (via Twitter), gestures have great historical significance in Colombia.
When Dolores achieved self-consciousness, she became infuriated by the guests' actions and tried to wipe human out of the world in order to build a new one for her kind. She became ruthless, arrogant and vengeful. Her actions in season 2 leads to her death because Bernard can't stand her actions and shot her to death.
