This led Jane to New Asgard, where the broken pieces of Mjolnir were held. Up until this point, no one had used Mjolnir — not even Thor, who likely believed that nothing could put the destroyed hammer back together. Jane's arrival in New Asgard woke up Mjolnir, allowing it to reform to transform Jane into Mighty Thor.
In the comics everytime Jane became Thor, Mjolnir purged her body of toxins. In her case those toxins were the chemotherapy drugs that were at the very least keeping her cancer in check. So everytime she became Thor her condition became worse.
More recently, Thor's hammer Mjolnir was destroyed when Jane used it to fly the Mangog into the sun during The Death of the Mighty Thor, but in War of the Realms, Thor harnessed the power of a cosmic thunderstorm known as the God Tempest to restore Mjolnir.
In 2025, Mjølnir reassembled itself in order to bestow power on to Jane Foster, who began operating as Mighty Thor. However, Mjølnir's power prevented any attempts to treat Foster's cancer. After Foster's death, Thor regained possession of Mjølnir.

Is Stormbreaker stronger than Mjolnir?

Stormbreaker has the additional power to summon the Bifröst, allowing Thor to teleport anywhere in the Nine Realms. Screen Rant has identified Stormbreaker as the more powerful of the two, based on this ability, as well as it being a much larger and edged weapon.
At one time, the order was Uru, (Thor's hammer), Adamantium, Vibranium, in that order. But, since Marvel could not use Adamantium in the movies (licensing reasons, deal with godawful Fox), Vibranium is essentially the MCU's Adamantium and the strongest metal on Earth.
However, the film also implies that the hammer only sees Jane as worthy because Thor unintentionally revised the rules of Mjölnir, giving it the power to protect her. Captain America didn't need anything special for the hammer to see him as worthy – he's able to wield it without issue in Avengers: Endgame.
Later in the film, a flashback to when Jane and Thor were still a couple shows exactly how she was able to wield Mjolnir. In a moment of wistful affection for his girlfriend, Thor asked his trusty hammer to always protect Jane, and in doing so unwittingly enchanted Mjolnir to do just that.

Since then, only a handful of MCU characters have successfully lifted Mjolnir because it has become the test of worthiness. In Thor: Ragnorok, Mjolnir was destroyed by Thor's sister Hela, and up until Thor: Love and Thunder, he had been fighting with Stormbreaker, an enchanted axe forged in Nidavellir.
As it turns out, Mjolnir is not simply looking for a warrior, no matter how righteous, but rather the first warrior into the fray. As the last man standing against Thanos – and the one who led the charge once reinforcement arrived – the MCU's Steve Rogers rightfully fits the bill.
Across multiple comic continuities, Thor has had several daughters including Brigid Thorsdottir, Thena Thorsdóttir and Torunn Thorsdóttir, the latter recurring in many iterations. In Norse Mythology, Thor had a daughter named Thrud with Sif.
Sif is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Journey into Mystery #102 (March 1964). She is based on the Norse goddess Sif. As an Asgardian warrior and lover of Thor, Sif often accompanies him into battle.
However, there was no enchantment placed on Mjolnir to protect Steve Rogers, so there's no reason that he would be imbued with the powers of Thor, despite his worthiness.
Why didn't Captain America become the Mighty Thor?
How come Captain America didn't turn into a Thor when he picked up Mjolnir in Endgame? Odin says to possess the power of Thor, not turn into Thor. You can't turn into someone who is already a person.
While Thor had likely believed there was nothing that could be done to the hammer after Hela destroyed it, the broken pieces of Mjolnir came together as soon as Jane neared them, making the hammer whole again and transforming Jane into the Mighty Thor.
Eitri appeared before them and learned that Thor needed a weapon, so he decided to forge Stormbreaker. With Thor and Rocket's help, Eitri opened the cage around Nidavellir and re-lit the forge, melting down ingots of Uru and pouring it into a mold.
In one last push, Thor finally put Bor down with Mjolnir, but at the cost of breaking the hammer—and a subsequent banishment from Asgard. Doctor Strange was able to repair it later by channeling Thor's Odinforce into the shards of the mallet.
It is not so much that Magneto cannot affect vibranium, but that the metal's vibratory nature and energy-absorption components can be harnessed in such a way that the Master of Magnetism meets his match.
Given this progression, he never got the chance to build a suit that's made from one of the strongest metals on Earth — Vibranium. Using the indestructible element seemed to be an organic next step for the Iron Man suit on the heels of Wakanda's opening under King T'Challa's rule in Black Panther.
While it has never been confirmed what Thanos' sword was made of, the Endgame battle hints that it was made of Uru or at least some metal that was as strong as the one from Nidavellir. Thanos was facing, at the same time, Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, Captain American's Vibranium Shield, and Stark's nanotech.
After Jane's death in the Thor: Love and Thunder ending, Mjolnir was last seen being once again wielded by Thor. Meanwhile, MCU Phase 4 saw Stormbreaker being wielded by Thor, Gorr the God Butcher, Love, and anyone else who was strong enough to actually lift and swing it.
Many viewers have pointed out that Thanos was able to lift Stormbreaker without a problem, but this is because the ax isn't enchanted as Mjolnir is. Others believe Thanos lifted Mjolnir (although briefly) and have even argued that he would be worthy of doing so.
The movie doesn't explain Thor's motivations for giving up Stormbreaker, but it makes sense that Chris Hemsworth simply wanted Love to have a powerful weapon to aid her in battle. It's unlikely that he could give her Mjolnir, considering that so few people in the MCU have been deemed worthy of its power.
