However, when he was denied the title of Dragon Warrior, the perception of Tai Lung shifted from hero to villain. This societal perception of him as evil brought forward its own sense of perverse hypocrisy. Tai Lung felt wronged by society and believed that everyone had denied him what he perceived as good [2].
Due to his banishment to the Spirit Realm, Tai Lung became a Spirit Warrior. His physical appearance remains unchanged but outside of the Spirit Realm, his body is surrounded by a golden aura representing his Kung Fu.
Leaving him under the supervision of Commander Vachir and the Anvil of Heaven, Shifu and Oogway parted ways from Tai Lung, leaving him in prison as punishment for his crimes against the citizens of the Valley of Peace.
Tai Lung's return to the land of the living is not permanent, as Kung Fu Panda 4's ending shows him and the other villains returning to the Spirit Realm. They do so as Tai Lung holds The Chameleon in his grasp and takes her with them.
Oogway. Tai Lung was unaware that while Oogway observed his training, he did not like what he saw: Shifu's excessive pride was filling Tai Lung's heart with darkness.
How did Tai Lung know Tigress wasn't the dragon warrior?
But unlike the 1st Kung Fu Panda Movie, where Tai Lung only explains about, how the Dragon Warrior came from the sky on a ball of fire and all that jazz. Tai Lung knows Tigress is not the Dragon Warrior because, as he puts it: " he was around when Tigress was just a cub".
After falsely believing his parents never loved him, he developed a negative philosophy about parents never loving their children and sought for a destructive quest for happiness, a quest he knew would never succeed but continued anyway.
At the end of the film, Lord Shen's own battle-cannon collapses on top of him. Instead of running, he closes his eyes and accepts his death, knowing he has failed and preventing any persecution for his crimes. Years after his defeat, he became more calm due to possibly the Spirit Realm which has come to view as home.
However, Oogway greatly sensed his time has come, and handed Shifu his staff, before turning into a swirling cloud of peach blossoms as he ascended into the Spirit Realm, successfully passing away in the mortal world. During the film's events, Po used the Wuxi Finger Hold on Tai Lung, sending him to the Spirit Realm.
And so, in a universe where Tai Lung never became evil, he became a symbol of hope, of redemption, and of the true spirit of the Dragon Warrior. And that is the story of Tai Lung, the redeemed, the mentor, the friend, the true Dragon Warrior. A story of hope, honor, and redemption.
Po utilizes the Wuxi Finger Hold on him, obliterating Tai Lung. Tai Lung's defeat marks Po as a Kung fu warrior. In Kung Fu Panda 3, it's explained that the Finger Hold instantly sends its victim to the Spirit Realm, indicating that Tai Lung now resides there.
Lord Shen is the main antagonist of Kung Fu Panda 2. He is a sadistic and devious peacock who want to take over China (including Gongmen City) and destroy Ku Fung with his cannons as well as Soothlayer's former master and the Wolves's leader.
In a twist of fate, Kung Fu Panda 4 brings back a formidable adversary: Tai Lung. The iconic villain, thought to have met his end in the original film, is unexpectedly making a return. In a surprising turn of events, Kung Fu Panda 4 welcomes back a formidable foe: Tai Lung.
In short, Po beat Tai Lung not by being the superior fighter, but by being his perfect counter. Shifu lost because he was conflicted, and the Five were caught off guard by the nerve attacks they had never come across before.
This is because he has now been promoted to the role of Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. The good news is that Po not being the Dragon Warrior anymore does not mean his time with the franchise is over.
Though Po's many flaws and antics frequently annoy Tigress, she realizes that he is a resourceful warrior who truly deserves to be the Dragon Warrior. In the sequel, Po and Tigress seemed to have developed a closer friendship with each other since the events of the first film.
In the books, we learn that Tigris became one of the stylists for the tributes of the Games and over the years, she began getting surgical enhancements to make her look more like a tiger, such as flattening her nose and getting tattoos. Because of this, Coriolanus fires Tigris.
The point is, Tigress obviously hates Tai Lung. You could interpret it as reaction to what he did to Shifu, or what he did to her from the start. Even if we take the despair from his character, you still don't have a warm and nice person. … animal.
He battles Tai Lung using a mix of what he's learned from Shifu and his own natural talents. Climactic Moment: Po uses the Wuxi Finger Hold to destroy Tai Lung. Resolution: Po is greeted as a hero by the citizens and acknowledged as a master by the Five. He then rushes back to Shifu and learns he's not dead.
