President Coriolanus Snow viewed Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) as a threat for defying the rules of the games, and she proved him right by becoming the face of the Rebellion against the Capitol. Of course, he wasn't the only threat to this sudden sense of rebellion.
Throughout the series, Katniss and Peeta fluctuate between a platonic and romantic relationship. For a period in Mockingjay, Peeta is brainwashed by the Capitol to hate Katniss and try to kill her. But he recovers, and in the epilogue, we learn that Peeta and Katniss are married with two children.

She vacillates, first deciding that Peeta is two-faced and that he is now showing his true colors. He has betrayed her and is betraying all of District 12 by buddying up with the Careers, whom she calls the "Capitol's lapdogs." She decides that if the Careers don't kill him, she'd be more than happy to.
Peeta used the dyes to paint a picture of Rue after Katniss covered her with flowers when she died. He says he wants to hold them accountable for killing Rue, and Effie tells him that that kind of thinking is forbidden. Katniss then tells the team she hung a dummy of Seneca Crane.

Finnick Odair's death represents the unfairness of life and war. Even though Finnick was a favorite of the Capitol, he still ended up being tortured and killed by them. The evil of President Snow is made clear by his manipulation and targeting of even those he favors.
I think the cruelest part was forcing the kids to kill each other. Not to mention making their families watch, making them anticipate and celebrate it, the whole forced "in love" thingy..and more. Just the cruelty of it all.
Throughout the last book, Katniss is bothered that Gale seems to be getting closer to Coin and the district 13 higher ups. He also helped engineer the bombs that ended up killing Prim during the final battle.
Snow is revealed to have been heavily influenced by the nihilistic and misanthropic ideologies of Dr. Gaul. He has no qualms about hurting or killing those he perceives as threats to his power, and is mentioned to have used poison on his political opponents.
Snow laughs after Katniss killed Coin because he enjoys the irony of the situation. He avoided the official execution ceremony, even though Panem's citizens still take their revenge on him, while Katniss ends up snatching away the victory and power that Coin thinks she has successfully secured.
