He not only heals Kong's injuries with a special serum, but this mechanical arm also prevents further vulnerability when Kong eventually faces off with Shimo again. Kong is likely healed from the frostbite by the end of "Godzilla x Kong," but hopefully this isn't the last we see of the big guy's latest toy.
After the destruction of Hong Kong, Monarch manages to acquire some parts of Mechagodzilla and start constructing the B.E.A.S.T. Glove under the codename "Project Powerhouse" to build an exoskeleton that could aid Kong in future conflicts.
The gauntlet serves as a tool to enhance Kong's abilities and give him an advantage in his battles, especially against the new Titan he faces in the movie [3].

As revealed in Godzilla x Kong, Godzilla's completely revamped appearance was a direct result of another Titan's energy. Specifically, the pink upgrade came courtesy of Tiamat, one of the 11 unseen monsters mentioned in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
We see him lift objects that are at least as heavy as he is, and throw massive punches too. A punch or even a slap from his hand would deliver a force measurable in millions of Newtons, and the fact that each of his arms is over 70 metres long make him extremely dangerous up close.
Kong also has a poor resistance to fire, due to his thick fur, collapsing unconscious from the napalm and fire he was hit with after a few minutes. As an adult, Kong was nearly drowned by Godzilla when the latter pulled him into the depths of the ocean, taking advantage of his own water-breathing capabilities.
The massive growth spurt isn't the only thing that's changed about Kong. In addition to his increased size, Kong appears much older in other ways. His fur has taken on a darker shade, and he's grown a beard that gives him the wise, seasoned look of a Titan who has lived a long life.
