He explains as much to a young Leia in Season 1, Episode 2: "If I use the Force, it will draw attention to us." That means he likely never practices his Force skills. No telekinesis, no meditation and certainly no lightsaber use. Even the Jedi mind trick needs to be used only in emergencies.
In addition to getting older, Obi-Wan's life as a whole has slowed down considerably. He hasn't been using the Force, nor has he been training padawans or saving the galaxy from the Sith. With these things in mind, it makes sense for Obi-Wan to be rather weak in his new Star Wars show.
Firstly, he hasn't fought in years. In order to hide from the Empire, he needed to keep a low profile. This means that he's not in his best fighting form. Couple that with his wavering faith and he isn't really attuned with the Force, further impeding his fighting skills.
The main reason for this is due to Kenobi's long stint in hiding. Again, Kenobi has been in hiding for around ten years, slowly diminishing his connection to the Force. While the Force, and people's abilities with it, are hard to define in Star Wars, it remains the case that the Force acts as any other skill does.

Aside from Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi is also weak in the original trilogy compared to himself in the prequels. While this may have been due to a combination of Obi-Wan being 57 and his skills being out of practice, it still seems like there's a large difference in power between the Jedi in each trilogy.
Kenobi seems to be very strong in the Force. However he does look weak in the Force during the Kenobi series because his strength is not based on his number of midichlorians in his body but rather his strong connection to the Force which is almost lost at the beginning of the Kenobi series.

Vader was far more powerful than Luke and easily could have bested him. So, knowing that Vader wasn't allowed to kill Luke drastically changes the equation. His only goal was to make Luke mad, and he definitely accomplished that task.

In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. Galen was secretly trained as a Sith Lord apprentice to Vader, but returned to the light side and the Jedi.
During their confrontation on Mustafar, he was heartbroken seeing what happened to Anakin. Even when he had the chance to end him then and there, the Jedi Master couldn't bring himself to kill him. So instead, Obi-Wan left him limbless, not expecting Palpatine would come to rescue his fallen Padawan.
The Council, however, felt Anakin's future seemed clouded and uncertain, and deemed the boy too old to begin training and dangerously full of fear and anger. They refused to allow Qui-Gon to train Anakin, but the Jedi Master nevertheless kept the boy as his ward as he returned to Naboo.
Obi-Wan is good at letting his emotions go. He feels them in the moment, the anger and sadness over deaths of ones he loved like Qui-Gon and Satine. The guilt and pain over Anakin's turn. He feels them deeply, and then lets them go.
