On the heels of his defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan, Lord Vader is keen to continue his pursuit. His conversation with Darth Sidious dissuades him though, as his Sith master cautions him that his emotional encounter with Obi-Wan has left him weakened.
Over the course of the series, Darth Vader was determined to find Obi-Wan, his former master and friend, and kill him. When Palpatine learns of this personal mission, he outright questions Vader's loyalty to him over it, and the Sith and makes him abandon his search.

Given his pent-up anger and power level, the Sith Lord could have easily ended the Jedi quickly. Instead, after burning him on the ground, he allows him to escape — an interesting decision but a sensible one given the villain's ultimate plan. Darth Vader doesn't want Obi-Wan to die instantly; he wants him to suffer.
This resentment culminated in the epic climax of the entire prequel trilogy, with Anakin and Obi-Wan's fateful battle on Mustafar in Episode III. Then, Vader's hatred for Obi-Wan was solidified before their final encounter in Episode IV during the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

What if Obi-Wan killed Anakin? It's surprising that there aren't more answers to this important question. The short answer is “doom and perpetual horror” because the ramifications of Obi-Wan outright killing Anakin could have only gone one way.
And despite Vader's weaknesses, it's not as if Luke was unskilled, as he spent plenty of time honing his connection to the Force after Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and was likely the most skilled lightsaber-wielder Vader had faced in a long time.
Why was Darth Vader so weak in Return of the Jedi?
Granted that it had just been a year since their last match-up, but the body's deterioration can rapidly increase as someone gets older. Coupled with the fact that Anakin had long been reliant on his armor which means that in reality, he's in worse shape under his suit than he might appear in Return of the Jedi.
During the battle, Anakin, who had been known as the Sith Lord Darth Vader, was redeemed by Luke and brought balance to the Force. However, the redemption cost Anakin his life, having been mortally wounded by the Emperor, Darth Sidious, while killing his former Master. After his death, Anakin became one with the Force.
Vader did not hunt for Yoda in any cinematic depiction. He and Sidious could not find Yoda as he had exiled himself on the planet Dagobah which had strong dark side energy that masked Yoda's presence in the Force.
Couple that with his wavering faith and he isn't really attuned with the Force, further impeding his fighting skills. Meanwhile, Darth Vader is at the height of his powers, leaning on his anger. Secondly, Obi-Wan was still reeling from learning that Anakin Skywalker survived.
When Maul regained his composure he was able to Force-push Obi-Wan into a melting pit, where he held on for dear life. Calming himself, Obi-Wan leaped over Maul and used Qui-Gon's lightsaber to sever Maul in two.
While Vader had his weaknesses, including vulnerability to electricity, characters like Emperor Palpatine, Mace Windu, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi all had the potential to defeat him in battle.
Obi-Wan literally recognizes that his former friend Anakin is gone and Vader is all evil. There is no reason for him to not be able to do it. This is not the same situation as on Mustafar at all. At least Anakin was seemingly burning to death in that situation, so it's understandable for him to not finish the job.

The canonical comic Star Wars: Darth Vader #7 confirms the younglings' deaths caused Anakin grief, self-loathing, hatred, and pain, fueling his descent even further into the Dark Side.
A year later, in 4 ABY, with his health rapidly declining, Yoda died of old age when Skywalker returned to see him. He became one with the Force, shortly before Luke redeemed his father Anakin, who fulfilled his destiny as the Chosen One by killing Sidious.
Instead, the theory suggests that Padmé died because Palpatine killed her. By taking a closer look at how Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader is intercut with Padmé's death, a clearer picture emerges of how Padmé's death was more likely a planned-out murder as opposed to an accidental tragedy.
